Im seeing a couple things, both I had not seen before.

1. Activating SIRI with white earbud wired headset.. Simply pressing and holding the center of the volume rocker either does nothing or takes several attempts to get SIRI to respond. It used to be essentially instantaneous with the plugged in headphones.

2. Saying to SIRI "call xyz on mobile" gets me to a page that says "which number, mobile or home" But I said MOWBILE very clearly. it never gets it now.

3. I see this popup when I come back to the HOME and the LAN where I have a bluetooth home phone system. The popup shows on the lock screen - as if it is a continuity bubble, but it's not, it's showing a stocktwits app. Then, When I got to the app carousel and shut down the app, I see this stupid bubble on the bottom of the screen - which honestly I have never seen before that says "stocktwits - connected to DECTXYZ123 [which is the bluetooth phone system]" These two things have NOTHING to do with one another.

I honestly don't care about CC lag on the 5S, but apparently it's still there on my 5S even with the latest beta.

I guess nobody has seen this before. I think I might have a defective phone.
Well only other advice reset all settings and see if it helps (easy and quick). or try DFU restore. If neither of those help I would visit the Apple store and have them check it.

I've shut off background refresh for Facebook but it still does things in the background. It's consistent my top 3 battery-draining app. (It also hijacks the volume control but that's another topic for another thread. )
Maybe I need to turn off the contacts linking to Facebook as well.
Yeah FB app is a pig. delete it and use the mobile site or Paper.

iPhone 5 here. Beta 5 performs slightly better than beta 4, which was my favorite of all the 9.1s so far. The final release ought to be real good.
How does the app switcher compare to 9.0.2? I mostly get slight stutters exiting the app switcher back to the homescreen. Everything else is otherwise lag free for me.

On my iPhone 6 the shadow fades smoothly after tapping the open space to dismiss the CC. Though I'm pretty confident I never had it glitch out on me like you describe in your screenshot.
You have to quickly dismiss it right after summoning it. Did you do that?

Yes. After waking from sleep, numerous times. Smooth fade on the shadow on my iPhone.
SWEET. Looks like they fixed it then! I originally submitted that bug report when 8.2 came out. Nice to know that they fixed it, but man did they take a long time.

Since there are two build numbers for this beta (one for iPhone 6 and below and one for iPhone 6S's) does that mean it will finally get back up to par with 8.4.1 performance wise on the 6??! Are they optimizing a slightly different version for the "old" phones to make them run better?!? Sorry if this has been mentioned. I'm still holding out on 8.4.1 on my 6. Loving my crisp performance around the ui and opening/closing apps :) not loving my music app lagging after while though!

I don't think so. I think the different build numbers have to do with the 6s and 6s Plus having certain things that older iPhones don't have, such as the Live wallpapers and other device specific software components. Could be wrong though.

The build number only indicates that the 6s and 6s Plus builds are THREE builds newer than beta 4 (13B136) while the older devices have (13B137) which is essentially one build newer. I'm betting that the final builds will either be the same build number again or the 6s / 6s Plus ones will be even newer.

I installed beta 5 today (had 9.0.2 before that) and noticed something odd.
When I connected my headphones to my iphone and opened app switcher and navigated between apps then I could hear an electric buzz during the animations (opening app switcher, switching to an app from the app switcher). It doesn't make this sound when opening an app from the home screen or when closing an app with home button.
It's really faint but it's there.
Anybody else hearing that?
Anybody?

I have an iPhone 6S Plus with 128Gb running 9.0.2 (13A452) and several times when typing a message, if I flip the phone horizontally, the keyboard doesn't work, it freezes. This is very annoying, is there a fix for this yet?

Right, I hadn't changed any settings, though, and now it doesn't use Speakerphone automatically if my headset is on. Which is good! Maybe that setting got added in this beta, which is why it works correctly?
I think it was there previously not 100% on that

What?!? Damn...
Just a minor cosmetic bug, not really annoying. Usually, if you open the CC it is not to dismiss it so quickly. I think some people won't be any faster to reproduce it without many and many tries and some won't ever notice it when it happens. In a regular use it is not a problem at all. But it has been reported so it should be fixed... and it is still not the case !
