y'all talking about hearing back on items submitted with the Feedback app or with the bug report website?

I've submitted 32 Feedback app items over 3 months and not heard back about any of them

I've used bugreport.apple.com and I've gotten feedback on most of them. Most of them are filed as duplicates, some of them have asked for more information, and a couple of them have been updated to ask me to try and reproduce it with the latest build because they think they fixed the problem.

Every time I file bugs as features or enhancement though, I've not gotten feedback, I assume because they don't comment on future releases.

Also according to people in the know (apple engineers on twitter), bugs getting filed as "duplicate" is a GOOD thing as they treat tickets with a lot of duplicates as higher priority. It's just a shame they don't provide more information other than that. I would like to see a more open bugreport website when you can see the other peoples' tickets. I suppose they have to avoid leaking personal information.

I agree but I thought they at least change the status from new to acknoledged or something like that. ;)

This never happens in my experience. There's no state change visible to the user. We never know if the bug was filed properly or not. The only real feedback we get is to check the latest build and see if they solved the bug. I wish they improved on this so I can at least get motivation to submit more radars

Maybe we'll still get a beta today. The dev site is down for me. This makes sense to me because I recall a couple times when the x.x beta was released later in the day.

I don't think there'll be any more betas. I do think 9.1 will release to the public sometime this week though, probably tomorrow. The new Apple TV pre-orders are set to start next week, with them shipping the first week of November. Possibly the same case with the iPad Pro. 9.1 is required to set up the new Apple TV through an iOS device. So it would make sense to have finished 9.1 and release it so that they can ensure compatibility and begin to make the Apple TVs and iPad Pros.

historically, major iOS releases are done on Tuesday
I believe Wednesdays have had quite a few releases, if not perhaps more than Tuesdays. Mondays have come up often enough as well, although less often in comparison. Same goes for Thursdays. Pretty much any weekday is fair game really, with Friday being the least likely one.

So you're thinking tomorrow or Wednesday for iOS 9.1 public release? Or is it 50/50%?

Not really thinking much about it one way or another to be truthful. It might not even come this week at all. All that was to say is that realistically for any given week, any day between Monday and Friday is fair game (with Tuesday or Wednesday being somewhat more likely, and Friday being less likely, compared to the other days).

There could even be one more beta. :) They need it out for the advertised availability of the ATV4 and iPad Pro this month. But that's 10 days away. Was October 'get one' or 'order one'?

there is no way they will release beta 6, that wouldnt make any sense.

October is "order one" but the iPad Pro is expected to come with 9.1 preinstalled, as seen in the source code. Also, 9.1 is required to set up the new Apple TV. Since they have to begin making them at least two weeks ahead of availability, it has to be finished by now.

EDIT: Tim Cook just said at the WSJD Live conference that Apple will start taking orders for the new Apple TV next Monday and that it'll ship by the end of next week. So a very very high chance that 9.1 will be released this week, most likely tomorrow. Nice!

Yeah Tim Cook just announced pre orders for the Apple will start this coming Monday,

What indicates to you that 9.1 will be released tomorrow though? I personally can't wait to install 9.1 already but I don't want to get my hopes up for nothing,

I mean, what is the reasoning behind you thinking it must be coming out tomorrow?

Historically, Tuesdays have been the most common days for Apple to release updates like this .1 update. If it's not tomorrow, then definitely sometime this week. Also, if you pay attention to past releases Apple likes to give some leeway to give time for people to update, especially when shipping new products that are feature reliant on an update. Since setting up the new Apple TV requires that you have 9.1 installed, and they're confirmed to ship next week, it only makes sense.

Before 9.1 beta 5 came out there was someone in the OS X forums claiming to have inside info that OS X 10.11.1 was coming on the 22nd.

Seemed like just a guess at the time because beta 4 seemed like the final build (based off the build number.) As soon as Apple released beta 5 last week it seemed to all line up and point to this week. Since 10.11.1 would release along side 9.1.

So it will be either Tuesday or Thursday (22nd) but wouldn't be surprised at all if it didn't release until Thursday.

Is anyone else getting MEGA lag when pulling down message notifications? I don't usually complain about lag too much but this one is really getting to me.
Looks to be much improved and almost inexistent on my 6sPlus in beta 5.

My guess is that we see 9.1 drop on Monday next week just in time for Apple TV. Any more betas at this point would not make sense.
I don't see 9.2 beta happening for a while.

looks like you can pick a custom location now when having it calculate travel time in a calender event

I hope iOS 9.1 does release soon, I need the Carrier Update that corresponds with this release as the cellular bugs are a tad numerous here on iPhone 6s Plus.
