So what about public beta are we out of beta program , someone said they got iOS 9.1 official over OTA that running pb5 iOS 9.1
I got the OTA over the air now and I still have my iOS 9 public beta profile. So I'm unsure if we're off the program.

You're not off the beta program. As long as you have the profile, you will continue to get iOS 9 betas as they come out till the very last update of iOS 9.

Just like iOS 9, there will be a new profile to install for iOS 10 and the cycle begins all over again. The profiles are good for the entire life of that iOS you have the profile for.

No changes from beta 5.

In fact, the stutter has gotten worse on Air 2 and 5S

Thumbs down from me.

Are you sure iPad Air switcher are smoother? It feels like 10 FPS now (used to be 15).
Not surprised when my Air 2 has noticeably slowed down.Really considering a downgrade as these emojis dont interest me on iPad and the other is just immaterial stuff

Not saying it is smooth, but yeah, for me, it's better than beta5. I think I'll leave the transparency left on actually; it's maddeningly not getting key press feedback with reduced transparency.

Yeah, it's haven't been fixed in this release too :(

I hope they going to disable the left blur on app switcher. The mastermind behind the lag.

Does anyone know if 9.1 fixes the Black Screen issue when opening any app (including stock apps)?

Demo of it is here:

The video shows it on a 5s, but is happening on my 6s on 9.0.2.

BL.

Why don't you guys turn to Twitter and give Tim a good thrashing for the sh*t quality updates apple is releasing

It's only a 30MB update so I doubt there's any significant change from beta 5.

I think the Settings app makes it pretty clear they weren't going all out (or even trying much at all) with "polishing up" iOS 9 in this version. 9.1 overall seems pretty minor. I'm guessing they'll fix things up a bit more in a later update.

But for now... new emojis.

Or they had bigger fish to fry, so to say.

I'm happy with the final release and other than needing a bit more smoothing out, iOS 9.1 here is more stable than any version of iOS 8. Especially when it comes to Safari.

Which bug?
The biggest one of them all, almost up there with the huge issue that was in iOS 8 where the animation in the Weather app wasn't smooth when looking at the list of cities that some people might have. In this case it's where wen you launch the Settings app it loads a little ways down from the very top of the app (instead of loading at the very top of the app).

Doesn't bother me, but stuff like that is trivial imo. I just scroll down a little. Done.

OTA update is 219 MB on iPhone 5S running 9.0.2.
That's big ... I'll wait updating unless it runs very smooth.

Yeah. They fix one and break two.

Same ol same ol since iOS 7.

  • While triggering spotlight was slower, searching on spotlight gives instant access to search web, apps, and maps button now (used to wait for 2++ second).
  • Switching airdrop availability on 5s still lags.
  • AirDrop on iPad Air still not working and not showing on 5s and MBA 2013.
  • Air and 5s still occasionally stutters when opening app.
