Not only did they make performance worse, they also added a new bug in the app switcher. The farthest app you can see on the left won't have an icon over it until you scroll closer to it if you enter the switcher with more than 3 apps there.

The lock sound on my iPhone 6 isn't any different than usual. Same as it's always been for a while now. No cutting off or anything either.

On iPhone it's fine.

On iPad, when you close the Smart Cover, lock sound is abbreviated at times. Doesn't happen every time.

Or perhaps that's an enhancement of sorts so that they need to render less initially and only load it when someone starts scrolling when that icon would actually be needed?

A better way to reduce the rendering load would be to not dynamically and gradually blur everything in the app switcher in real time. That's why it's so terrible and the only way to fix it is to turn on Reduce Transparency. That's beyond compromise.

And also, that missing icon is not an enhancement. It's a bug, plain and simple. The rendering of one 80x80 blurred square isn't significant enough to make a great difference when the other objects are still there.

Pretty sure every device has it but not all of us deal with the problem like the majority do or act like blind fanboys

pretty sure theres a handful users that just want to find something to hate on apple for cause, u know, they're the more popular choice, someone or something popular must fail, at all costs. right?

guess theres a lot of "fanboys" here & everywhere then, cause the majority are fine, but then we're probably "lying" or "dont know how to notice it"

I reported this Bug on ios9 public Beta two times. It's been there since then :( Please report it too. Small but annoying bug.

Not really related but as this seems to be the busiest thread atm, how do I remove the beta profile? Where is it located

When opening directions in Maps by tapping on link from outside Maps or using the 3D Touch, it still takes a ridiculous amount of time to actually give directions (over 10 seconds). Compare that to the 1 second it takes Google Maps.

At least it doesn't zoom out into space first anymore, but there's no reason for it to take that long to get directions.

For the bugs or whatever people are finding, it would help to mention which device you are finding this on. Otherwise, we'll be seeing a lot of "Works for me!" replies to posts like this..

Anyway, to answer my own question:

Does anyone know if 9.1 fixes the Black Screen issue when opening any app (including stock apps)?

Demo of it is here:

The video shows it on a 5s, but is happening on my 6s on 9.0.2.

BL.

The black screen when opening any app bug has been fixed with 9.1 on my 6s.

Anyone have the issue where unread email count is not coming on the mail app? Bug has been there on iOS 9.0.2 and 9.1

Even though I have "preview" set to OFF in notification settings, I still see iMessage content in Notification Center.

When a message comes through when I'm using the phone, there's no preview on the banner alert at the top of the screen or lock screen...but the message content still shows up in the Notification Center.

That never used to happen, right? Or am I brain farting?

I do hope that iOS 9.1.1 puts a stop to these grey icons in the App Store.

Podcast app has UI bug. It doesn't show Sleep button nor forward and rewind 30secs

However you can push in the blank space and it works

It looks like the App Store supports landscape screenshots.

Or it could just be a bug.

What email problem did it fix? I do not see any new email notification on the app.

Supposedly (I just downloaded 9.1) the one where it would show notifications like in that pic I attached.

If they aren't showing did you check.

Settings > Notifications > Mail > Allow Notifications

And

Settings > Notifications > Mail > (account) > Badge App Icon

?

I haven't had a problem with not getting a icon badge.

Are you sure you have the "show in Notification Center" toggled off? And perhaps "show on lock screen" as well?

Settings > Notification > Messages

Yeah, I purposely have it set to Show in Notification Center and Show on Lock Screen.

I just thought it looked weird when the content of the text message was displayed on the Notification Center.
