This will probably be my last post on this forum, as i have moved on. You need to accept the fact this will never change NEVER! Timmy is out to make more products and more money for shareholders, his Apple doesn't care if your phone lags/stutters everywhere that would make him profit in the near future by you upgrading, and you will as will other users in these forums! if you think about it's smart, Apple users are easily manipulated by Apple IMHO that will never change, for one that leaves 10 will join. Your only hope is something comes out of the class action lawsuit https://www.macrumors.com/2015/12/29/ios9-iphone-4s-lawsuit/

Even if that is not money hopefully the option to downgrade the 4S and other models to an ios of their liking.
OMG Wow, I really really hope Apple loses the case, but of course it won't be easy. But I perfectly understand the plaintiffs.

Anyone else noticing further improvements to battery life in 9.2.1? I thought 9.2 put this right again but in my tests 9.2.1 is starting to really deliver on the promise of better battery life in iOS 9.

on 9.2.1 b2 my battery drains slower than before i get 4.5 - 5 hrs usage time.. that was 3-4 hrs on 9.2

i hope 9.2.1 final build will improve that a little bit more :)

With 9.2.1 b2 on my 6s+ I had a problem with the camera. After I took a photo, looked at it for a few seconds and then swiped it away, I got a blurred camera preview (shown in the picture below). After restarting or simply clearing the RAM the problem disappeared for a while. Because of that I returned to 9.2. Does anybody else experience this problem?

Could be just the plus models because I'm not getting that on my 6s 4.7". The plus models have OIS so that could be a contributing factor. Maybe someone else with a 6s plus can confirm though.

Never said anything about you, I said "people", and there are a couple of people with this specific expectation…

"1.6x improvement in animations and scrolling", not 1.6x smoother.
Some forum-goers said Control Center scrolling used to be 60fps on 8.4.1, so going by "smoother", what is the expected result? 96fps?
Improvement can mean so many things in this context—CPU usage, energy efficiency, etc. (or a combination)
Also, Metal did improve graphics performance in e.g. games.

Bugs? Feel free to add them to the wiki on the first post. Thanks.

Whose to say they never tried fixing it?
The iOS 9 page specifically states Metal results in smoother scrolling which is BS.Its worse than OpenGL.Even in games it sucks.Real Racing 3 which doesn't use Metal looks better and is smoother than Asphalt 8 which uses Metal

My supposed 120mbpsfrom XFinity is non-existant. No idea what it is. But its been night and day across all devices. Im in UT. WiFi on 5GHZ is just an absolute horrible experience on all of my iOS devices. The Macbook is fine and never drops. Maybe I just need someone to help me configure my home network properly. Plus a son who plays LoL and PS4 and Xbox for hours on end might not help either lol.

It's not just you. Seems like a lot of users are having wifi connectivity issues on 9.2

iPhone 5s, always have 3G enabled no wifi used.
Edit: I also have the Facebook app installed

Yep I agree as well. 9.2.1 does seem to have better battery life than previous versions.

Just noticed another bug.If you open the App Store and tap 10 times on any of the other tabs then the App Store refreshes and all apps are flushed out of memory

Yeah...that's called a feature and not a bug, and one that has been around for a long time.

I still have an issue with my battery % display since the 9.2 update on my ip6. The display will read a normal reading of say 55% on the lock screen and when I unlock to do anything it goes to 6% and notification comes up I should switch to low power mode. When I plug my phone in to charge the battery display then reads the 55% again. Tonight it happened again and it has been on 6% for 3 hours and I have used probably 10% of battery life at least playing games ect..
Also I randomly have issues when I plug my phone in to charge it won't even recognize the cable and I have to unlock the home screen for it to recognize the cable and start charging.

What about if you rub your belly while tapping your head and then use your nose to tap the screen, does that fix the problem?

I also faced this prob sometime back. Was on Europe tour mostly out with freezing cold weather. I assumed my phone was misbehaving because of coldness. So did nothing. After coming back home, i allowed the battery to fully drain until the phone went off and then again recharged to full through AC mains (not via usb laptop). Also did a hard reset by pressing home and lock button together. The problem is solved for me now.

Still have some UI search mail bugs sometimes when you comeback to Mail app if you have launch a searching before (not sure how exactly reproduce this error)

I would recommend 2 things. "reset all settings" then charge to 100%, let it run until it cuts off then charge back up unattended until 100% again to calibrate the battery with the software.

I don't understand why apple lacks intelligence to fix problems like this. I mean..they always emphasize in photos during keynotes, right?
