I've been getting iOS betas since 9.0, and this recent 9.2 Beta 3 is the first time I've commented on these forums about it (I haven't found anything incredibly annoying enough to post about). I have an iPhone 6S Plus. With this recent beta, after one full day with it, I have a huge difference in battery life - in a bad way. Off the charger at 7am, by 10pm, I was down to 71%. For reference, I don't spend a lot of time on my phone during the day, and for my nearly 2 months with the 6s so far, I've always had around 60-70% when I get home at the end of the work day. I have not used my phone any differently than I always do. Just my experience with this beta so far. Otherwise, everything is fast and fluid, and an overall great experience.

I'm assuming your 10PM is a typo and you meant AM. Because after 15 hours, if you are still at 71%, then I think you are doing pretty dang well.

Edit: I keep location services off except for a handful of apps, mail is on fetch every 30 minutes, and reduce motion is on, and reduce transparency is on.

If you're having this battery drain, check your mobile data usage and System Services/Documents & Sync (with wifi off) and after some minutes, check if your data usage is increasing. The fix is in the posted link.

what pray tell are you looking to accomplish by doing that? Just curious. Seems that CC should not even be an option while in Siri.

He does have a point with that one I'm afraid, I tried swiping up to open CC while Siri was on screen and it really lags. I mean, proper lag. Time to file a bug report.

I agree though, as to why you'd need CC while using Siri as CC covers the Siri "mic" icon you tap to engage it.

or some folks will be happy with less

Anyway, you make it sound like it is hard to reproduce. It really isnt all you need to do to see stutter is open the split keyboard and scroll this forum.
Don't bother.Unless you use your iPad straightforward like a dumb computer you are using it wrong and it isn't a "normal use case"

This blank settings bug annoys me since 9.0.I reported it 5 times already and Apple still doesn't fix it.It looks visually jarring in the app switcher

I'm happy with more and iOS 9.2 b3 gives me more reliability, more performance and is tons better than 8.4.1 ever was. That's how rate my experience. It works for me.

Their are some that won't tolerate a single animation issue. This appears to be their entire focus. Functionality and stability need not apply.

I'm a big picture kind of guy. I don't sweat the details or obsess over them. They will eventually be fixed. Just like the animation issues were eventually fixed by later versions of iOS 8. If folks can't see the big leap in performance and improvement, versus 9.1, then maybe those expectations are being set to unrealistic levels.

All I am asking is to restore the 8.4.1 level performance OR give us an option to turn this ****** Metal off or just give me a downgrade to 8.4.1 option.

It seems like so many people here have a difficult time believing SO many of us aren't having these sorts of lag issues and our machines are running just as smooth (if not MORE smoothly) than 8.4.1

There's never, ever, ever going to be options from Apple to give people the ability to just downgrade to a lower firmware.

the app switcher is almost too fast now.Cant swipe right without it jumping to the home screen .Phone battery draining quickly and the phone is heating up frequently

Under phone -> recent calls

If you click on the "i" next to a contact, assume he has multiple numbers, does it highlight the last number he used to call you in blue ?
Since iOS 9 an unanswered called are not show higlighted blue number anymore in my contact with multiple numbers
Now im on 9.1 and it still not highlighted, i hope they fix it on 9.2 Final

I wonder if it's just the general "indexing of data" that could be causing the initial battery drain.

Anyone having trouble with 3D Touch keyboard cursor on the 6s plus?

I'm still on 9.0.2 and my cursor placement with 3D Touch is finicky at times. I used it just now to correct a mistype in this response and it was perfect so it's not a consistent thing but sometimes the cursor will jump a character or two forward when lifting the finger.

Is this the issue you're experiencing?

There are some animation issues that need to be addressed. That isn't difficult to say or recognize.

What is difficult to understand is, how the lag gang doesn't recognize improvements from 9.1 to 9.2 b3? Are they ignoring those improvements or are they being totally unrealistic?

On my 6+, in particular, Spolight Search and the App Switcher are smooth as can be and a huge step forward compared to 9.1. I understand the eagle eye gamers want this utopian fps OS. That day may eventually come, but with some of these expectation levels that day may never happen for some.

I am not saying it hasn't improved.Certain spots haven't improved.Other things were fixed

Yeah well I worked hard for my money and if I spend this much on a "top of the line" product I expect it to perform like a "top of the line" product - wtf don't you understand about that?

Oh sorry you settle for less my bad.

I'm sorry you have issues with your devices but I don't settle for less. My devices run near complete perfection and get better with every new release.

Yes, same if you tap the i under the details of a message thread. This has been around a while, and quite useful.

No its not highlighted anymore since iOS 9 as AlexNice stated. It shows before tapping the i, the phone label that was called from but not the blue highlight inside the info screen.

Not disputing that it doesn't happen. I actually have that lag as well but there is no case I can think of where I would ever use CC while using Siri. That was my point. It should be removed as an option.
