At the same time many others have had all kinds of issues with early versions of iOS 8. Perhaps some people just weren't noticing them. Or perhaps people have different experiences with the same types of devices and software.

Correct.

In my experience, Safari was not stable on iOS 8 when compared to iOS 9.

My Air 2 didnt crash ANY app nor did it lag even once on 8.4.1.iOS 9 so far has managed to do the latter

On my Air 2, Safari was not stable and springboard crashes were more prevelant. iOS 9 is much more stable here. Plus, there were some who upgraded to the iOS 9 beta's, because Apple Music lagged the entire system on 8.4.1. iOS 8 was a mess in my experience.

Anyone ever missing some photos in the Messages app when you try to send a photo? I'm talking about the drawer that opens, that has recent photos you can send to someone.

I'm missing some recent photos that synced over iCloud Photo Library, but can get to them if I tap "Photo Library".

Wondering if it's a Beta issue or if this was in 9.1.

Hoping the update will fix the lag issue on my 6+.

- Unlock phone and takes maybe 3-5 seconds before I can touch any app or swipe
- Locking the phone takes about 1-3 seconds before it locks

My wife had an issue with lack of response from the screen. She had to wait few seconds before it started to work. After many weeks of complaints etc. we found that it was the protective cover causing it... maybe it is similar in your case? (although it doesn't explain the locking delay).

Im surprised that 6 has this issue i thought that its 6s problem. Is 6 128g?

I can't see there only being three beta's for a x.x update. I think we'll see a fourth beta tomorrow and the GM in either one or two weeks time.

Then what about Apple Pay for Canada? It was announced by Amex Canada that Apple Pay will be in Canada tomorrow?

Each time Apple Pay comes to a country, Apple releases a new version of iOS?

It's possible Apple may release iOS 9.11 but why not simply 9.2? 9.2 seems pretty stable for me.

Hm. Maybe, but anything to do with Apple Pay is server-side and doesn't require an update. You're right about it launching tomorrow in Canada but we'll see.

8.1 only had 3 betas, while various others mostly had 4. Hard to say what what it will be like this time, but it's possible there might not be anymore, and it's certainly possible that there might be one (or even more than one) beta still to come.

My iPad Air 2 App store is having a hard time on 9.1, i.e. the whole thing about a null app can't be deleted and App Store is freezing and buggy. I'm hopeful for 9.2

You can confirm that the phoneapp and calculator are blank in appswitcher? I don't think so
Yes both are, so is safari and other apps. I suspect its taking the memory away from those apps as needed for other live apps (like its supposed to do) and the display disappears. Its just a recent list technically so old data doesn't really have to be there if the memory is needed elsewhere as long as the app name and relative appearance is there so u can select it. Just a theory.

Installed iOS 9.2 beta 3 on a new iPhone 6S 64GB last night and restored the iCloud backup of my iPhone 5S onto the 6S (this something I never do - until now) and wow is the experience night and day (in terms of dropped frames and lag) between the 5S and 6S. I haven't seen one dropped frame or experienced any lag and this is despite looking for it.

Look forward to iOS 9.2 beta 4 tomorrow!

Same exact experience. Facebook was lagging prior, now nothing.

Should have been expected with a brand new 6S running 9 out of the box, shame they released software not optimized for their flagship phones... Instead you had to install a beta.

Running the OS it shipped with wasn't even an option but I do agree with you :). I almost always install the latest beta (if there is one and it hasn't been blowing up phones).

Got my first reproducible lag/stutter. If any of you have Elevate installed, after playing the scheduled games and the completed games are listed on the training tab, double pressing the home button to activate the app switcher and it slows to a laggy crawl! It's crazy and appears to be something with the graphics Elevate displays on the training tab because switching to the performance, study or more tabs and the lag disappears when interacting with the app switcher.

Bug report submitted along with stackshot logs.
