Pulling down the search screen from the top is still a little stuttery, but much improved from 9.1. Pulling the search screen from the left is buttery smooth. The control center still isn't a perfect 60 FPS, but it is very close to the way it worked on 8.4.1. Opening any app is instant and completely smooth.

Overall, 9.2 will be fantastic!
Anyone here with an iphone 5s?

What if the settings app bug is intentional so that others don't see the information? I know Feedback Assistant uses this behavior and so does PayPal to a degree. Even Camera too

As I can see this thread is mainly about iPhones, but how about iPads? I guess 9.2 is fine on Air 2. Any words or videos on Air running 9.2?

I get stutter on the air 2 with the split keyboard open and scrolling web pages such as this forum

Can somebody confirm in iOS beta 9.2 beta 3 the lag in the app switcher being fixed (iPhone 6s +) Also the 3d touch press animation? Is this being fixed in the latest beta?

Not likely someone can confirm much for anyone else given the range of experiences different people have when it comes to lag/stutter and all of that.

Has this been fixed? My 6s has screen rotation locked, so when I play a game that is rotated, when pulling the Notifications Center down during the game play, then exiting the game and going back to normal "vertical" mode, this happens. Annoying.

Wow... How did you pull that off? I tried squeezing as much time as I could out of that one single charge.
I don't know either, was surprised too.
This was my best battery run till now. I am very happy about this battery life.

I've found iOS 9.2 beta 3 to be extremely poor in terms of battery life both on my 6s Plus and my iPad Pro. I hope the next BETA fixes it. My "usage" time increases all day despite no apps actually being used. e.g. I've only used my iPad Pro about 2 hours since last night, and it's showing 9 hours of usage. Same behavior on my 6s Plus.

My 6s Plus barely makes it through the day now since upgrading from iOS 9 beta 2 to beta 3.

Here's a screenshot from my iPad Pro running iOS 9 beta 3. Frustrating, given I've no idea what's causing this issue on both my 6s Plus and iPad Pro... The battery usage tab is SO unhelpful. Clearly I've not used my iPad Pro for over 7 hours!

I just installed 9.2 beta 3 on my iPad Air. It has zero improvements over 9.0.2. It's just sad.

On screen time under each app isn't supposed to add up to the Usage time at the bottom.

But shouldn't background time+app open time=usage time?

That would be nice but no. Well, maybe it should, but it certainly never has in my experience.

If you can bear to do it then close all apps from the app switcher, charge your phone to 100%, take it off the charger, and then leave it completely unused and untouched for 24 hours. Then wake it up and look at the usage time. Even if you've not had a single incoming phone call or text and you've disabled all push and/or automatic fetching of contacts/calendar/email/cloud-backup/app-sync/ibook-sync/photo-sync etc you'll still see about 20 minutes of "phantom" usage presumably from iOS itself.

In my experience this is something that has at least got better in iOS 9; maybe it's a side effect of Apple's attempts to improve battery life in iOS 9. For iOS 8.x I would typically see 30 - 40 minutes of phantom usage per 24 hours even if my phone had never been touched and I do have all automatic syncing and backup activity turned off. At least the 20-ish minutes a day for iOS 9 is an improvement but, especially given how I have my phone set up, I still find it irritating that iOS is using any significant amount of usage when the phone is sitting untouched.

I broke 10 hours usage last night for the first time on my 6S+, on only LTE and I have an Apple watch its pinging, too. Battery seems great to me.

I can confirm that App switcher stutter has been FIXED on Air 2 (now running at 60 fps) It will still stutter at unexpected random places few times. But Air 2 on 9.2 B3 is reaching near perfect levels of usability.

On 5S, Control Center stutter still remains but App Switcher is now running at 60 fps. Random slowdowns do happen from time to time. At this rate, I expect iOS 9 to be perfect in next 4-5 months. I will let my 5S die slowly and peacefully on last version of iOS 9 be it 9.4.1 or whatever. I care for it and would not want it to suffer under iOS 10. Will upgrade to iPhone 7 hardware beta 1 next year.

iPad Air 2 will still have a life of 2-3 years before 2GB RAM will start falling short.

Would feel elated if they fix that god aweful Music App shamelessly promoting Apple Music.

Can anyone with a 5s tell me if the following lag anymore, if they got better: quick reply, CC, NC, spotlight, the bubbles in the messages app, the keyboard rotation, the music app UI. Thanks in advance!

just plug my iPhone 6 plus to backup with iTunes, and notice that 'other' section in gone from the space bar.

last time i remember it was the the yellow section at the bar, and always the nearest to the "free" space

i made a few sync and backup, restart the iPhone and computer. no 'other'.

can anyone else confirm that?
is apple finally fix this also? or just hide it?

Anybody having issue with password restriction for free app without password? Ever since I update to betas I no longer have password settings under restriction.

This is what I am missing, and everytime I purchase something free on the app store it still asks me for the touch ID/password.
