Maybe tomorrow, maybe never. We don't know if 9.3.3 will drop before or after WWDC. They might be running weekly cycles or 2-weekly cycles. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

I would say likely before WWDC or out that day. I think they want to be done working on iOS9 updates and betas and move the focus completely to 10 beta feedback which obviously will be huge at first.

I dont see this beta having more than a week or 2 life in beta as its a tiny tiny bug fix update being a x.x.1

Anyone having an issue with phone calls with this beta?

Suddenly over the weekend, I lost all LTE calling features. I can also only call out... incoming calls get a message that my number is not in service.

I'm guessing this might be a carrier issue (ATT), but they seem baffled, since I can receive SMS/MMS and connect to mobile data. It is only phone calls that are affected.

Had the exact same thing happen to me last week. I rolled back to 9.3.2 and still the same. Contacted AT&T through online chat and there was severe damage to 2 towers nearby is what I was told. A couple minutes later it worked just fine.

I wonder if Apple fired all of the internal beta testers for public testers instead. That would explain why there are so many issues with iOS these days.

I hope they go back to a mostly bug free OS soon. Even iOS 7 was less buggy than iOS 8 and 9.

iOS 9 is the worst between 7, 8 and 9.

10 is going to be a disaster if this trend continues.

Just don't mention that to many many people who had all kinds of issues with iOS 7 and iOS 8 (or even iOS 6 and iOS 5 and earlier forums that are full of people asking for help about this or that or complaining about this or that).

Listen, I've been around since the beginning of iOS and it keeps getting buggier and buggier. It's not my imagination. I've been through it all.

I used to laugh at android users because their phones were so glitchy and stuttery, but now that's the iPhone too.

It's un-Apple-like

That doesn't really seem to change that many people had a lot of issues with iOS 8 and 7 when compared to iOS 9 (just as there are plenty the other way around). Or that apparently plenty of people have had all kinds of issues with iOS 6 and earlier issues.

Thanks. They've been scratching their heads about it all day. They've escalated it to the "HD engineers". I rolled back to 9.3.2, to no avail, just so I could avoid the "blame the beta" game. Let's see what tomorrow brings. It did work from Tuesday through Thursday last week.

I have the same issue of my phone unreachable on 9.3.2

Randomly people couldn't call me. But facetime worked. I carry a $50 Android phone with me all the time to deal with this crap. At least that tiny phone makes and receives calls reliably.

This is happening to all the 3 iphones in our home and on 3 different networks.

It is your imagination. I have also been around since the beginning and I don't find this version any more or less buggy than other versions were. We just now have (a) forums where the "hey, that's happening to me too echo chamber" takes root and (b) access to better tools to measure things like frame drops.

No, iOS is not like it used to be. They never had public betas in the past and somehow were still able to produce updates that FIXED things, not broke them.

Now, it feels like we have all of these betas and there are STILL major issues with the final release. How the hell do we get 4 betas or so and still miss things like auto-brightness causing frame drops?

iOS 7 was rock solid for me, iOS 8 was okay, but had some glitchiness, iOS 9 is even worse than iOS 8!

iOS 10 is going to be horrendous.

Who the heck cares about frame drops? Accept the fact that you have the equivalent of a 1997 supercomputer in a pocketable form factor and deal with it. We are SICK AND TIRED of the whining about inconsequential nits with this software/hardware combo.

Personally I would say iOS 9.3 is more stable than 7 or 8 ever was. iPhone 6S and iPad Pro 9.7

For these point releases its generally a week between betas. The holiday was Monday. Apple worked yesterday so beta 2 today. Let's see...
Actually no. 9.3.2 Beta 1 and Beta 2 were 13 days apart. It's typically Beta 2>3 and 3>4 that are one week. 1>2 is always 2 weeks.

So I'm picturing some guy sitting in a relatively dark room playing an iOS game. Then he decides to get up and go outside while still playing the game and then oh oh the brightness starts to increase and then !!!!!!!! OCD alarm goes off and the frame rate on the game suddenly stutters for a couple seconds!!! Aaaaaahhhhhhhh the humanity! After the brightness settles the game goes back normal.... This wasn't like this before?!!?! Time to go to the forum.

Yeah it's actually not really a big deal. If it bothers you so much turn off autobrightness. Maybe it depends on what game you are playing too because when the autobrightness is adjusting there is always going to be increased cpu usage. Could be the game that's being played is using so much cpu it can't always keep up.

Either way I agree the whole thing is ridiculous with the stutters here and there. Nothing is perfect and people will always complain or find something "wrong" if they want to.

Well, it's not super big deal, but it is annoying. On the trainon my way to work, I've been listening to podcasts and playing Goblin Sword (excellent game btw). Whenever the train passes by tall buildings or trees or anything else that occludes the sun, the auto brightness changes the screen output and suddenly the game goes in slow motion for a couple of seconds.

Is it the end of the world? Nope, but it feels like an annoyance that could have been avoided.

After reading this I tried calling it, and had the same issue. On AT&T as well. Now the food delivery guys question about if my phone was on last night makes sense.

I contacted AT&T through chat. The guy sent a "SIM Update" to my phone and had me reboot. After rebooting incoming calls work again.

Thanks. Tried that. I'm heading to a physical store after work. 3 days without a phone is unbearable! (LOL)

You're right... it's not the end of the world.

However, just a minor version ago, it didn't happen at all. Also, a couple of versions ago, I could play openGL games without frame drops. Then, since 9.3, these games stutter for me on my iPad (and restoring and setting as new doesn't fix the problem).

Like I've said previously, I have never had this many issues with iOS before iOS 8. Also, something along the way happened to iTunes and syncing is not reliable anymore. I have so many issues syncing music that's locally stored on my computer. My iTunes library is very organized, tagged, and every single piece of artwork is set, yet I still get instances where random songs decide not to sync or songs are in my library, but not in the playlist that it's supposed to be in. Also, I'll think everything is fine, but then a song will skip part of the way through to the next song... it's frustrating... then later the same day, that same song plays fine all the way through! All of this started with iOS 8 and has been frustrating ever since. My wife experiences the same issues (and even some different ones).

So it's not just frame drops. iOS is a mess now. Everything used to work beautifully, but that is gone now.
