Excuse my bad manners, but what the....did Apple do wrong this time? iOS 9.3.2 did fine with batterylife...but iOS 9.3.3 Beta 1 is horrible. It's a minor update from 9.3.2 as well!

Yes, i know it's a Beta and yada, yada, yada...but what could Apple possible do, to screw up batterylife this bad? Maybe related to the new Darwin Kernel?

Edit: Went back to 9.3.2...and have for the last hour and a half redownloaded apps, setting up my phone etc...and batterylife is good.

Please Apple (yeah, i know they don't read on these messageboards) get your stuff together...

I miss Steve & Scott...they did good! Tim & Jony is like...i don't know...not so much.

Maybe a Samsung S7 Edge? Naah, i love my iSweetheart to much!
Get lost, then. It's the first beta of a random build. If you're going to be a baby about it, DON'T INSTALL A BETA ON A PHONE YOU ACTUALLY USE!!!

What the heck is going on with this thread? There are more posts whining about Apple and Steve Jobs' corpse than about features and issues with 9.3.3 b1. Way too many people installing beta who are absolutely clueless.

Downgrade to a public release and let us help improve your experience for you. You're right, it is a minor release. You don't need it while it's in beta, buddy.

...

For people who have the beta installed for the right reasons: Is there any possibility this build is messing with the phone's power management on certain models? One of the cables literally caught fire on Wednesday while my phone was charging in a rental car. It was plugged into a 2.1 amp charger. FYI I have two 6S Pluses. One is my own, one is a work phone. The work phone is on 9.3.2 and has no problems with charging. My 6S+ on 9.3.3 now will only charge with a 1.0 amp charger. Anything above and it shows the lightning icon but the percentage doesn't move and will go down if I use the phone. As if it's not even plugged in.

Tried compressed air and paper clip while powered off to gently remove debris but no dice. The next experiment via process of elimination is to downgrade or wait for b2. By the timing of the events, I believe it's the new firmware. Or is there a failsafe that may be coincidental and I just need to replace the phone. But judging by a lot of the comments about the phone's battery life on this build, and given mine also just plummets with the right apps open (Facebook and Tinder make the battery drop a percent per minute, otherwise I got 10 hours of usage), I'm hopeful this will be resolved without intervention from an Apple Store.

And yes they aren't supposed to replace phones in beta but they have and they do if you talk with them reasonably and eliminate goofups on your end. Then again if the beta effed my phone and it's obvious, I'll have to take my lumps and get another phone. Hopefully Apple care transfers haha.

Damn... these companies be QUICK to find ways to rope people in to a couple little "impulse" purchases, lol.

I bought the 1st gen Apple Watch, enjoyed it, but didn't use it enough- so I sold it on eBay.
I'm hoping to try again prolly 3rd gen. My new baby will be "toddling" around at that point & I'll have no excuse to not start exercising more and trying to get my body back, lol.

you are right, you don't have to spend any quarter to have these accessories in that time :) you'll pay monthly if your operator allowed it and your tariff is compatible with it :)

i only loved the fitness activity feature of the watch, otherwise it's not a ''must have'' thing for me.

That's a hard one. While the % bar may not be moving it may be charging (ie. the % displayed bug). would need to get a battery app on the device.

Or it could be hardware and totally unrelated. It's really tough to tell.

Where do I report bugs for the beta? I'm not having battery issues, and the lag has pretty much disappeared, but there is an odd one. I can't search the App Store. I can update apps and view apps from the main page, and when I type in possibilities, it prompts for options, but when I hit search, it just spins and spins and spins.

I think there is an issue with battery management. Woke up this morning to a dead iphone (it was plugged in all night) and a dead ipad pro (not plugged in but had about 30% battery yesterday). Weird....

I believe you should not be installing the beta if you will just complain. Beta's are released to the public and to developers to get feedback on the build. If you have any issues with the beta, it should be reported in the Feedback App instead of complaining here in the forum.

Also, why is it that people like you that installs beta, always include Steve Jobs, Tim Cook and Jony Ive? they have different ways of managing and they are not related to the beta build. Besides, Steve is dead - please don't pest the spirit of the dead if you will just want to whine. Sorry if my english is not that good. It's not my first language.

iOS 9.3.2 is shaping up to be one of the best releases but is old news now. So all eyes on iOS 10.
Yup, but get ready to brace yourself. This is just the calm before the storm. In just a couple of weeks... We'll all cycle back to calling iOS 10 the worst thing ever, hyperventilating over perceived or actual lag -- "OMG teh studder!", and accusing Apple of intentionally, with deliberate criminal malice, crippling iOS to sell new iPhones and iPads. Among many other things.

Calendar notification snooze is not working. After snoozing the first time, it will only make a notification sound and you wont see the icon/badge or alert. That's it you wont be notified again.

I don't agree with neither side. If people want to complain, just let them. Though no one will ever really listen to someone who doesn't constructively and pragmatically present their problems/issues with iOS. It's important that we all give Apple feedback and ventilate the bugs/idiosyncrasies we encounter with each iteration of iOS (beta build or not) to achieve the best possible os. Don't you agree?

.... But if iOS 10 stutters on my 6S, I will be the first one to rant like mad on MR. I really don't care about few random bugs here and there. But those random stutters make my head spin.

Yeah, I did consider that but it wouldn't explain why it'll show movement on 1.0 amps but not above? Doesn't look like anyone is having the same problem, probably just coincidence. If the next build doesn't change anything then I'll have to go to a fresh install. And if that doesn't work then it's a hardware failure. Da well, them's the ropes.

No, not in this thread. These threads are for bug fixes, changes, and performance improvements. i.e. a way for us to collaborate on our observations about the system as related to how it works and how it behaves with apps. Commentary on the state of Apple as a business take away from this thread's purpose.

So far so good.
Game lag is still there.
No serious battery drain, EVEN with Facebook app installed. (BAR is restricted)
Probably the last release of iOS 9 and my phone still isnt as smooth or lag free as 8.4.1 .Thanks Apple
You can go like this all the way back to iOS 1.0, and then? Back to Mac OS 1?
Hello world is bug free but no one use it.
You can't compare to an iPad. If your only charging your iPhone once a day then you're not a heavy user.
Maybe a user charging 4 times a day can be considered as a heavy user.
Again, if battery is not horrible in this beta, then battery is just fine.
I don't think battery life is horrible on this beta.

Just wanted to report back after day Im not seeing any charging issues. And Im charging my 6S with an ipad charger on 2.4A so... Not seeing any issues the % not going back to 100% or any weird overheating.

I would say restore it first but may be time for the Apple store. And if is the official Apple beta they wont care for a swap FYI.

PS I agree, beta threads are not for a stutter/obsolescence/Apple culture debate; obsolescence has nothing to do with iOS beta to begin with if that conspiracy theory is what one truly believes somehow. Make a new thread and keep it there, that's all.

No is trying to "silence" an opposing view but rather keep Beta about the beta and beta bugs. It starts to become 30 pages of crap to try to find and discuss if others are seeing another real bug.

The only thing I've noticed is that my phone charges incredibly slowly now. It's been plugged in for almost an hour and it's only gone up 25%.

Just like plenty of other conspiracies would be on the first page when they are searched for...that doesn't provide evidence or proof for them. It seems that we are back to the same old things of how reality and logic don't work that way.

And, once gain, this isn't the thing that this thread is about anyway, so no point of re-traveling the same old beaten path that's been travelled on many times before.
Funny how only Apple is the only company on that page.Microsoft and Google are nowhere to be seen

Kind of like the moon landing will be the prevalent thing when searching for faked landings or something similar...doesn't that lend any more credence to the conspiracy theory? And that's not even counting the whole correlation/causation aspect of it. Funny indeed.

Was about to reply but then Kelowna made this post haha. Mine charges pretty quickly with the 1.0 amp plug and with my Macbooks. Are you using an iPad adapter?

Nope, the charger that came with my 6s. It appears even to be worse now.
