Get lost, then. It's the first beta of a random build. If you're going to be a baby about it, DON'T INSTALL A BETA ON A PHONE YOU ACTUALLY USE!!!Excuse my bad manners, but what the....did Apple do wrong this time? iOS 9.3.2 did fine with batterylife...but iOS 9.3.3 Beta 1 is horrible. It's a minor update from 9.3.2 as well!
Yes, i know it's a Beta and yada, yada, yada...but what could Apple possible do, to screw up batterylife this bad? Maybe related to the new Darwin Kernel?
Edit: Went back to 9.3.2...and have for the last hour and a half redownloaded apps, setting up my phone etc...and batterylife is good.
Please Apple (yeah, i know they don't read on these messageboards) get your stuff together...
I miss Steve & Scott...they did good! Tim & Jony is like...i don't know...not so much.
Maybe a Samsung S7 Edge? Naah, i love my iSweetheart to much!
What the heck is going on with this thread? There are more posts whining about Apple and Steve Jobs' corpse than about features and issues with 9.3.3 b1. Way too many people installing beta who are absolutely clueless.
Downgrade to a public release and let us help improve your experience for you. You're right, it is a minor release. You don't need it while it's in beta, buddy.
...
For people who have the beta installed for the right reasons: Is there any possibility this build is messing with the phone's power management on certain models? One of the cables literally caught fire on Wednesday while my phone was charging in a rental car. It was plugged into a 2.1 amp charger. FYI I have two 6S Pluses. One is my own, one is a work phone. The work phone is on 9.3.2 and has no problems with charging. My 6S+ on 9.3.3 now will only charge with a 1.0 amp charger. Anything above and it shows the lightning icon but the percentage doesn't move and will go down if I use the phone. As if it's not even plugged in.
Tried compressed air and paper clip while powered off to gently remove debris but no dice. The next experiment via process of elimination is to downgrade or wait for b2. By the timing of the events, I believe it's the new firmware. Or is there a failsafe that may be coincidental and I just need to replace the phone. But judging by a lot of the comments about the phone's battery life on this build, and given mine also just plummets with the right apps open (Facebook and Tinder make the battery drop a percent per minute, otherwise I got 10 hours of usage), I'm hopeful this will be resolved without intervention from an Apple Store.
And yes they aren't supposed to replace phones in beta but they have and they do if you talk with them reasonably and eliminate goofups on your end. Then again if the beta effed my phone and it's obvious, I'll have to take my lumps and get another phone. Hopefully Apple care transfers haha.
