9.3 allowed me to turn off "reduce transparency" for the first time on my iPad Air without performance loss. It's about time Apple finally started tackling the performance issues in iOS 9.
I wonder why it took them this long though. Performance issues are highly visible; they should be high on the bug priority list!
Really hoping this is the case for me and the issues I see. Also hoping that a lot of people aren't just having a placebo effect, like I remember iOS 8.3, people were saying "EVERYTHING IS PERFECTLY SMOOTH NOW ON MY IPAD AIR" and lo and behold, I get to 8.3 and am disappointed that my particular issues are still not fixed
And yeah I don't get Apple's low priority on smoothness issues either. I haven't really even had "bug" issues on iOS 9, just slow, stuttery, delayed, or absent animations. Yet these are the issues that aren't touched for months.
Anyone with sensitive eyes for stutter/FPS tested it yet? I want a proper opinion on this - also, on older devices too - iPhone 5, 5S, 6 etc...
Way to say it bluntly but this is what I was wanting to say haha... 60FPS video of app switcher, spotlight pull down, control center, etc etc for iPad Air mini 2 or 3 maybe?
Less yellow? The white point of the iPhone 6 display is over 6000K. Sunlight is around 5500K. Why would anyone want it to be even more blue than that?
I've heard the iPhone has a very very cool display at like 6700K I thought I heard and people have complained. Others say it's still too yellow, but there are some units with more yellow displays so idk.
IOS 9.3 beta 1 is clearly the best release for 4S since 7.1.2! I don't think such older devices can get better than this. The only thing I am having hard time to comprehend is the massive 1.4 GB update file since there is almost no new feature for 32 bit devices apart from password-protected notes and some minor changes to music app. This 1.4 GB is way too much for just some under the hood improvements and bug fixes. Is it anything to do with base differences or what (9.2 vs 9.3 base)?
These OTA updates have been shipped as full installs rather than "delta updates" which only have the new material involved, that's why the little updates have been so huge. Was this way for 9.2 and I believe 9.1 updates.
I'm so glad to find out that the weird scrolling behavior in the app switcher has been fixed (or at least much better). Now it won't scroll crazy fast unless you flick fast. Beforehand even the slightest flick would scroll crazy fast (if you scrolled towards the home screen card, the other direction was fine).
That's good to hear, it didn't bother me as much as some people, but it was still annoying to me.
