Can someone check to see if the multitasking/opening and closing application animations are massively improved on the iPad mini 2? Currently experiencing smack-that-right-in-your-face stutters running iOS 9.2, Thanks.
Night and day difference for animations on Mini 2 from 9.2

In addition to the change of the position of song ratings in now playing view: Just saw now that tapping on the song title now brings you to the album the playing song is on. Hope you understand what I mean.

Can somebody check if the "ghost Bluetooth device" issue is fixed?

Sometimes when I get out of my car and disconnect from the Bluetooth system, my phone will fail to revert to iPhone speaker and I'll have no sound. I have to hit the AirPlay button and select it. The phone will show that it's connected to a Bluetooth device but the field is blank.

9.3 is amazing for me so far! 3D Touch is smooth for the first time, the Control Center is perfect (I'm sure there's one frame dropped somewhere if I spent a couple hours staring ), and the new features are nice. Very solid for beta 1.

I installed this beta a few hours ago on my iPad Air 2. I love the blue light reduction! Performance wise, everything seems to be the same so far.

My question to those who installed the beta on their iPhones: Does the music still stop playing when you open the camera app? I'm not sure if it's a bug or if Apple implemented this setting deliberately because of Live Photos.

I'm excited for this update to go public. Is 9.2.1 still not out yet though?

Edit: what about taping an app mid animation? Can you do that on 9.3?

I have Beats PowerBeats 2 Wireless Connected to my iPhone 6s Plus. They work fine. When I start a call, the speaker button does not let show me the 3 output options as it should (iPhone, Speaker, Beats), it just switches the call to speaker. There is no way to get the call back to the Beats headset, without starting the call over again.

It appears that no AirPlay functions show Beats headphones either. Not in control center, or in music, although it will default play to them, but I can't switch back and forth between outputs.

This is a known issue in the release notes.

Don't think Apple will offer a dark mode on an IPS LCD device. LCD uses more power displaying black and darker colours. AMOLED uses more power displaying white and lighter colours. But AMOLED still has the edge for power consumption.
Also the blue light reduction is cool feature. I wear glasses with Hoya Blue Control lenses so it cuts out most of the blue anyway. I had to turn it to the coolest setting so it doesn't look piss yellow. Without my glasses it still looks too cool!

Hope this comes out for PB tomorrow, I really wanna get goin on this beta. I had planned on keeping 9.2 for a potential jailbreak but this update seems worth it enough to where I can give that up. Haven't even jailbroken before, just kinda wanted to try it but meh. I feel like it may be a whole can of worms I shouldn't get into anyway.

Also, any word on Verizon WiFi calling in this update? Hope it gets enabled in one of the future betas if it isn't in this one (I believe it isn't yet)

Downloaded the ipsw file for iphone 6s and tried to do a manual update in iTunes by shift click update and restore from 9.2.1 beta 2 but it could not be updated because the firmware file is not compatible. Anyone encountered this? I'm quite sure I've downloaded the correct file for my device though. And I was able to update manually in the past.

Pretty sure LCD uses the same amount of power no matter what the color. The difference basically is that there wouldn't be a power advantage to it, just a usability advantage essentially.

Anyone else notice an improvement with cellphone signal, especially AT&T? Either my tower near work has been upgraded in the past 48 hours or 9.3 improved signal because I'm getting mostly LTE when I usually only get 4G. It's actually pretty nice.

I had the same problem had to download the OTA profile.

Seems like they toned down the brightness on the wallet app, significantly.

Oh wow, that's so much better. I always wondered why that app needed to make the phone become THE SUN when it runs.
The reasoning for that has been that there are things that use QR or barcodes or something similar that would be scanned off the screen and that works better/best with turned up brightness and contrast.

I have been noticing some cell signal improvements as well on Rogers in Canada. At home normally sits at 1 bar and initiates wifi calling. Now since installing 9.3 beta 1 it's been 2-3 bars consistently and hasn't kicked in wifi calling once. Not sure if it's just a coincidence or 9.3 actually has improved it.

They probably recalibrated the dbm to signal bar representation. Hard to tell unless we know what the before and after dbm is.
Used to be notorious on Android manufacturers where one phone will be full bars and the other brand won't but the signal strength is actually the same and just represented differently on the signal bars.
