Lots of 100% CPU since this update finished. Probably reindexing or reoptimizing something. In any case, expect a warm phone for a bit after the update! (It's been about 10 minutes and it's still pegged for me. iPhone 6)

My 6S Plus is still at 100% battery since the update has finished five hour ago.

Can you touch apps mid-animation again on the springboard? Or do you still have to wait till the spring/fade animation is 100% complete?

Trying to install on my iPad Air. This is my second time trying. Now both times after the install I'm stuck on the Apple logo boot screen. There was a brief blue screen flash for half a second and then the Apple logo again. To fix it I had to DFU to 9.2. Anyone else have this install problem? iPhone 6s went fine.

 I mean cmon really? Trying to purposely look for something that isn't how you use it in real life conditions is a bit nutso.

That's something I expect from the lag trolls as I've coined them around here like Radon.
The real test is what Radon87000 has to say about 9.3 beta 1. ;)

I just noticed, that the star ratings in now playing view moved. Now you tap on the album art and the rating appears on top. Before you would tap the song title and it would appear there. Lyrics are there because I put them there, so now new feature - just in case so that nobody thinks it's Apple Music related for example.

Happened to me too. 6S worked great. iPad Air did not, haha.

I think they fixed the touch ID taking some time to recognize on the 6S. Before with 9.1 and 9.2, I felt it took some time for it to register. With 9.3, it registers it every time -- and is back to 9.0 recognition speeds. Very happy with the update so far.

:p

Edit:

@perezr10 You are right it's only 95%.

This is normal. The iOS battery gauge does not start to move from 100% -> 99% until the phone is really at 95%. Its done intentionally to make it look like you are at 100% longer than you are. If you do the math with mAh you can see what coconut battery is showing you. MacBooks are the same exact way.

Has anyone installed the beta profile without UDID?

Let's be frank here folks, it's not the record breaking update that it's made out to be in terms of lag and stutter improvements, more focus on the STUTTER here.
Animations on opening app, going to the app switcher, and the most important of all, "page scroll" are still not quite stutter free. More like far from it. Album scroll on the music app, going to landscape with the my music tab is still the stutter fest, unfortunately.

On to the good part, yes the improvements made to the app switcher are suffice to say, MONUMENTAL. Also, luckily there's places where it's stutter-free, flipping between pages on the home screen and the spotlight screen, which is now on par with the 6S on 9.2. All this on an iPad Pro.

Finally, to those people for whom stutter doesn't matter much or at all, breathe easy, this post's not for you.

I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed when they find out that night shift is not a darker UI
I am. I don't know why its so hard tp give us a real dark mode. The new night shift seems useless to me, that is not what I wanted for a night mode, at all.

Finally, I am impressed with iOS 9!

This beta has improved stutter a lot. Although not *quite* as smooth as iOS 8.4.1 (and not quite a fixed 60fps) I am much more enjoying the experience of 9.3 than previous iterations.

Kinda perplexed as to why it took them this long to address these glaring issues but nevermind, it looks like Apple are finally listening and fixing them.

The fact that this is only a first beta gives me a lot of hope. Here's hoping that by the final iOS 9.3 release the animations will be consistently smoother than they were in 8.4.1 as promised

I'm not even sure why it was refered to as "nightshift" in the description. The option is actually called "blue light reduction" on the iOS device... Witch makes a lot more sense.

I think we will get a night / dark mode with iOS 10.... And blue light reduction is actually a really nice feature.

Not sure if this is new but if you tap-hold an email attachment you get the iOS share menu

Well, it's a shift in color temperature related to night time more or less, and it's a play on work shift as well basically it being the mode that the device works in during the night. Seems like some people might be taking "night" to imply this or that (as in "dark"), but that doesn't mean that's the main association really.

Pretty sure that's been around for some time, given that's one of the ways to save an attachment to Cloud Drive.

Can someone check to see if the multitasking/opening and closing application animations are massively improved on the iPad mini 2? Currently experiencing smack-that-right-in-your-face stutters running iOS 9.2, Thanks.

Let me give a good guess:
"I still see stuttering in this single place because it's not 60fps all the time. It dips to 57 according to Xcode."

Then he will scream to the heavens about Planned Obselence.
But but xcode says it drops .1246 frames! Can't please everyone.

But ironically won't switch to another OS either if it's "so bad."

So far everything feels smoother than I've remembered it in recent updates.

I have Beats PowerBeats 2 Wireless Connected to my iPhone 6s Plus. They work fine. When I start a call, the speaker button does not let show me the 3 output options as it should (iPhone, Speaker, Beats), it just switches the call to speaker. There is no way to get the call back to the Beats headset, without starting the call over again.

It appears that no AirPlay functions show Beats headphones either. Not in control center, or in music, although it will default play to them, but I can't switch back and forth between outputs.
