One question: how did you install beta 2 on these devices?
OTA update, have to, I'm running Public Beta.

A5 devices should've died since the release of iOS 7. The A5 just can't push most of the UI effects iOS 7+ implemented.
Yeah I agree, control center was never smooth on my iPod 5 I know. All the blurring effects have always given A5 devices trouble. I know opening tabs in safari is a disaster on A5 based devices with the blurring. Always has been that way. Same for siri, notification center, sending messages, spotlight, etc etc. iOS 7 always was a dog on my iPod 5, even on 7.1.2 I don't get why people always have such a hard on for 7.1.2.

Performance is fine without blur, but I'd do anything to downgrade my 5th gen. iPod back down to iOS 6.1.3.

Yeah it's a shame it doesn't work with the OdysseusOTA thing to downgrade to iOS 6 even though it has an A5 chip like the 4S and iPad 2 which work. iPad mini doesn't work either unfortunately, or iPad 3. :c

I would downgrade my iPod in a heartbeat as well. I wouldn't use it much more than I do now but it would be nice to see it fly again! A friend of mine still has to use an iPad 3, it's on iOS 9. He hates it so much, he uses an iPad 1 on iOS 5.1.1 more than that, he says it's faster in almost every way which doesn't surprise me to be honest... Sad.

Ripple wave effect? That's a new one. Maybe it has to do with how the device updates the screen, top to bottom? I've noticed that when using my iPad in landscape, opening apps and closing them will sort of look like jello, this is mainly noticeable when holding it to the right (Home button on left) The right side of the animation finishes before the left side, this corresponds with the top-down screen refreshing.
Yeah, when I am in the app switcher and tap an app, especially one with a keyboard on, there is this animation like a jello that giggles or a wave effect and it propagates from the middle of the screen to the bottom, it happens quick and it barely bothers me but I find it very amusing because the bug is very smooth.

Weird.

Brb need to report all these performance issues to apple and pray they get fixed... I can't see many of them making it to the public, (particularly the notification center one, jeeezusss that's bad, it is true lag, not just bad framerate) but I wouldn't be surprised if iPad mini 2/3 and iPad Air users got stuck with a laggy spotlight once again.

Also, has anyone had their iPad fail to get to the passcode screen when sliding to unlock? My iPad mini 2 does this at least a few times a day, I swipe and the clock/slide to unlock go away but I'm left with a blank screen, just the wallpaper. I have to slide back to the clock area and then try again. Sometimes after doing this there is no blurring on the passcode screen, just a transparent dark overlay instead. Looks weird.

Also, that that I mind but there is this bug where I can t make the wallpaper "perspective", the two options are greyed out and you'll be stuck with a still wallpaper.

Has anybody with a Garmin fitness tracker updated to beta 2? If so are there still Bluetooth connection issues?

Out of every single public facing and beta release of iOS 9 to date - this release is BY FAR my favorite in terms of all around performance. Lag is eliminated, battery is great, no issues or bugs at all that I've seen, and overall it is just BUTTER smooth!!! Progress!!! (On an iPhone 6)

I agree, my iPhone 6 feels like a dream now, I am satisfied. Now if Apple could bring this sort of improvement to ALL devices lol. B2 is a step backward on iPhone 5/4S and iPad Air/mini2/mini3 now, it was a leap forward with B1. One step forward, two steps back I guess.

What am I saying, it's a beta! They obviously are finally tweaking the underlying rendering algorithms (it's been long enough, holy crap) so this stuff is bound to happen. It will be back to 9.2 performance AT LEAST for the devices that were hurt by 9.3b2 by the time the final build drops. Everybody just be sure to report your issues and specify which build broke things, which build fixed it, how to reproduce, what devices the issues are occurring on, etc.

Same here on iphone 6 beta 1.1 was a mess. This now is just great

For me 9.3b1 was still better than 9.2 in just about every way, CC was great, still had little issues though. 9.3b2 is the cherry on top, finishing what little frame drop with control center that was left. Haven't had any other lags otherwise.

The thing that surprises me the most is that CC is still 60FPS when used over the app switcher now. This previously brought the iP6 to a crawl with like a 20FPS CC.

iPhone 6S Plus has problems pulling up notifications center. Sometimes it just doesn't pull up. This was tried using b1 -> b2 update as well as fresh b2 ipsw install. Same issue in both the install scenarios.

God it also has the infamous input lag where it waits 1-2 seconds for previous animation to complete before it is responsive again.

Anyone with other models having the same problem?

Tried it out.Still not as fast as 8.4.1 .Notification Centre seems to have slight stutters on iPhone 6.The spotlight lag which is small is still there.Mobile data scroll stutter also not fixed. Not as good an update as 9.3 B1 was over 9.2.1 but good nonetheless. Will try on my Air 2 later and see how it goes

Am I the only one that LIKES the Night Shift icon in Control Center?

It's clever. I like it.
I don't really mind it either. I just wish I could change where it is, I think it would look better if it were in a corner rather than smack-dab in the middle. Not gonna complain though, it's handy. Not sure what the whole gripe is. I think it looks better now because it's the same amount of buttons on the top and bottom of CC, more symmetrical. I can see people being annoyed with circular buttons on top but square buttons on the bottom however.

It is weird. The iPhone 6 Plus only lags in NC and CC. All other animations (eg. App switcher) is as smooth as before.

My iPad mini 2 decided to crap the bed with NC and Spotlight, and slightly go downhill in the App Switcher. Odd. CC seems to be about the same as before. Generally all else seems to hesitate a little more.

Did I miss it that sunset to sunrise option is missing now in b2? Seems there is only a schedule to set times
