Has anyone else noticed this new in-browser notification style in Safari? It looks a bit like Android, weird font selection, can't say I'm a fan :p (Not new to Beta 2 btw, just realized it wasn't for a single site.)

I believe this was intentionally done to differentiate web prompts from real system prompts. There's a lot of JavaScript alerts styled to look like native iOS prompts to trick people into ****. Having them differentiated and stripped of styling to be uniform on every site means no more alerting dad to call 1-800-iCloud-official-apple-hotline with his social security number ready in hand.

Is this new? Is there a fix?

(Well I can't attach the screenshot for some reason. When I try to edit a photo, then save, I get the following error: "There was an error saving this photo. Please try again later"

Huh, that's strange.

iOS 9 is really fast now and it is on par to 8.4.1 on my 5s at this point. I've been hearing that the 6 Plus has been having more noticeable lag (possibly due to the 1080p display) than other Metal-enabled devices such as the iPhone 6 or 5s.

Can you tap AirDrop on Control Center and check if you notice frame drops as the settings come up?

So compared to iOS 9.2 how are animations and generally the performance on iPhone 5S?Is it worth it?

How is the performance ? Does it lags like 9.2.1 ? Are the animations smooth ? Bcuz on 9.2.1 the anims are kinda laggy
9.3b2 is much better so far with control center on my iPhone 6. Perfect everywhere now, even tapping airdrop and everything is perfect every time on my iPhone 6. I haven't tried the mini 2 yet though, I've heard the 6 plus got worse, and some other devices as well...
Guys I am very concerned about performance.Does the B2 lag more than B1?If so I refuse to upgrade because my CC is very smooth on B1
If you are on an iPhone 5S, regular 6, or 6S, update. If you aren't, don't. I heard the 6 plus is doing poorly now and I think I heard iPad Air is bad now too. 6S plus does the same scaling crap the 6 plus does so I'd be wary with the 6S plus.

iOS 9 is finally at iOS 8.4.1 performance with this beta!

Seriously.

No lag in Control Center, Notification Center, or the App Switcher. Multi-layer blurs are now extremely smooth as well (check this by tapping AirDrop in Control Center and observe if frames are dropped as AirDrop settings appear). Tested this on iPhone 5s, all lag has been eradicated.

Absolutely pleased with this beta! :D
Same on my 6!! I'm scared to update my mini 2 though... It was doing so much better with b1 and I've heard people say their 6 plus or iPad Air got worse with b2...
Im continuing on my daily driver with iOS 9.3 beta 1... On iPhone 6 plus is more stable than beta 2. I've tested since monday the beta 2, and it was driving me crazy because on beta 1 CC, scrolling and Multitasking was butter smooth (like the old good days), but in beta 2 was lagging in CC and NC. So, if you have a 6+ I advise you to wait for beta 3.

I've downgraded to iOS 9.2 this morning and updated to 9.3 public beta 1.1, because I just couldn't stand the dropped frames and lack of optimization (and let's be frank the bad looking icon for night shift on CC)...
This makes me terrified to update my mini 2. I've found that my iPhone 6 is PERFECT like iOS 8 for control center, even over the app switcher and open folders, keyboard, etc.. Weird that it broke the 6 plus
Not really. On the iPhone 6 Plus the animation of NC and CC lags like hell, it's a PITA using it. I wonder why they break it as it's buttery smooth on beta 1.
Makes me wonder too... It most likely wasn't intentional lol. Let's hope at least.
I'm sorry if this has already been addressed here, but what exactly is the meaning of "Turn On For Now" regarding the new nightshift toggle in the control center, as distinct from "Turn On Until Tomorrow"? Is it that using "Turn On For Now" will leave it on until you manually turn it off?
The "for now" thing is basically the manual on/off toggle in settings for night shift. There's a "Turn on for now" and once it's on it says "Turn off for now"
[doublepost=1453939873][/doublepost]Going to update my mini 2 now, as well as an iPod 5 and iPhone 5, tell you all how they go... Scared about the mini 2 tbh based on some people saying theirs got worse.

I am having a imessage bug, cannot send photos from photo library. When I select a photo from the library, it simply disappears. Using iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3 beta 2.

Anyone noticing the scheduled settings are overlapped? (from/to and the actual times) Both in the DND and now Nite Shift. DND has been that way since iOS 9.0 for me. I have reported it each build yet no change still (for me)

Anyone else?

No, beta 2 is still no way near as good as 8.4.1, at least on my 5s, there is still stutter and lag in: settings app when you scroll, music app, and when opening and closing an app sometimes it skips a few frames. Also when in the switcher, when I tap an app, during the animation the bottom of the app has some ripple wave effect, 60 fps too:D, it s funny to watch such a "smooth" stutter.

There is still a bug in this beta (note that I am on the PB, not the DP) with 3D Touch Peek/Pop gestures for app switcher when you are in the camera app. If I press harder on the left edge while in this app, I do not get the vibration from the haptic feedback, although the app switcher will eventually open. Oddly enough, the normal behaviour occurs if you go all the way to the left or to the right in the camera app (to pano and time-lapse modes). It's quite an odd bug to be honest. I submitted a bug report since the previous beta, but it still wasn't fixed...

Okay so my results are in:

iPad mini 2: Worse. Keyboard popping up animation system wide tends to suffer more than before. Spotlight blurring while pulling down lags way worse than before. Notification Center is a mess. Control center is largely unaffected. App switcher is worse and has a weird bug when picking apps that are in the blurred background.

iPhone 6: Much better than before, control center is now 60FPS in all situations I've encountered today. Not much else to say. Excellent performance.

iPhone 5: Worse. Spotlight blurring used to be perfect 60FPS, as well as the keyboard popping up, although it would hesitate sometimes but that was about it. Control Center is also worse now, like how my iPhone 6 was. It feels like the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 switched places in terms of UI performance and then iPhone 6 took another several steps ahead afterword. Notification Center is also a mess here too. Had it lag so hard that it seemingly crashed (disappeared mid animation) and I couldn't pull down NC or CC anymore until I restarted the phone.

iPod 5 (iPhone 4S will theoretically be the same): Worse. Spotlight is now like 10FPS to pull down, keyboard is slow too. I don't know how they made this device worse than it already was, but they definitely accomplished it.

One question: how did you install beta 2 on these devices?

Ripple wave effect? That's a new one. Maybe it has to do with how the device updates the screen, top to bottom? I've noticed that when using my iPad in landscape, opening apps and closing them will sort of look like jello, this is mainly noticeable when holding it to the right (Home button on left) The right side of the animation finishes before the left side, this corresponds with the top-down screen refreshing.

A5 devices should've died since the release of iOS 7. The A5 just can't push most of the UI effects iOS 7+ implemented.
