Has anyone experienced the Wi-Fi calling garble on beta 7? Starting with beta 5, would get a garbled noise that sounds like a fax machine on steroids and REALLY loud. I always ask if the person on the other end heard that. They always say no. Great not only did that crap scare me half to death, now the person on the other end things im nuts. Almost scared to talk on Wi-Fi now. :p

You obviously followed my instructions wrong then - it happens on every single Apple Store device on 9.2.1. My wife's 6S on 9.2.1, my 5S on 9.3, my iPad Mini on 9.3.

Or they for whatever reason fixed on on the 6S... I can test that myself on release.

You need to start sliding the app immediately after double tapping the home button, and already be inside an app (any).
I can't reproduce either. I file this one under "things that might happen if you do something no one really does on a phone in everday usage".

WORST IOS EVAH. When, in Mail, I hold the phone up at a precisely 35.43 degree angle, at exactly 3:13 when the moon is waxing crescent, and I double-click the home button then within a hundredth of a second press the volume down button, the animations in the app switcher have SUCH OBVIOUS STUTTER.

Get it together, Apple!!!!1!

Yeah I was able to reproduce this on my Air 2 and 6S. Let's get it together Apple.

I'm afraid some people are genuinely like this. It's like using Control Center using Siri. Granted, a few people do this but the majority of people don't, hence why the issue will probably always be there.

Yep I have had that on the Verizon WIFI calling a few times. The noise is something else.

I was able to reproduce it. You have to swipe up immediately after the mutitasker opens and I mean IMMEDIATELY like speed of light quick. I've never noticed it before because I usually move at the speed of sound.

Well, not only that, but then you have to not lift your finger to actually reproduce the actual issue of there being no response to your finger movement after that, which wouldn't be all that typical since people swipe on things on that screen, meaning they don't generally keep their finger on the screen most all of the time and lift it often to move.

It's averaging the month not giving you totals in the yearly view. If you look in the monthly view it says you walked an average of 4.6 miles in the last month. In yearly view, the bar is approximately 4.6 miles long for the last month. Then it does this average for every month of the year.

thats why all the previous months that were over 70 miles which is lots of them, even are all some 4-5 mile stuff it will never go over 5.5, its not working, was in 9.2 not 9.3.

not talking about monthly, they are still fine. it says daily average, chart shows total for the month in monthly view..yearly did the same till now when the chart shows whatever it wants. as said can average the month manually via all the data, slowly & painfully, its not even close.

People don't close apps in everyday usage? I know I certainly do...

My post just shows how to replicate it 100%, but necessarily what people would do all the time. The point is, it happens in regular usage if you just happen to try to slide an app as the app switcher animation completes.

True, but the behaviour does not occur invoking the app switcher from the home screen. It's inconsistent in that regard, and is either a bug that it does it or doesn't do it (one or the other is correct).

I just jumped on the beta train for the first time. 6 Plus.

Downloaded but haven't installed it. If I install it, will I be able to upgrade to the regular release? Or will I be stuck on beta releases unless I unenroll? And how would I go back - restore from iTunes?

Beta 6 has been so good on my 6 that I'm a bit nervous to give it up. I'll see how it fares in comparison.

It's not iOS's fault you have crappy Wi-Fi.

Someone's not very bright.

Given that all the radios seem to be affected, this sounds like a hardware issue.

If it is a hardware issue it's affected a load of people at exactly the same time when iOS 9.2.1 was issued (iOS 9.3 Beta 3 broke the GPS on mine). Sounds more like a software issue to me.

Loads of GPS related posts on the Apple Discussion boards:

My normal battery life is back on 6s+ with beta 7. Overall performance has no noticable difference than beta 6.

Anyone else seeing a blank notification bug for Phone while in Airplane mode?

When I turn on airplane mode I see a red notification button, but no digit, on my Phone app. It goes away as soon as airplane mode is turned off.

Since I use google voice, I never set up visual voicemail, which I think is causing the underlying issue. This bug first came up in the last beta, but I didn't see anyone really discuss it.

As I mentioned before, I don't think there's much of a question about the existence of the inconsistency, just more about how much of a bug it is (based on its consequences as well as likelihood of typical users typically running into it) and thus how likely it would be something specifically looked at and dealt with under typical circumstances.

I'm sure it's likely psychological, but b7 feels like it returns some of the previous UI choppiness from earlier versions of ios9.

It's by no means awful, and maybe it's just sorting itself post update. I hope the final release has the smooth UI animation. I founding off putting how even the iPad Pro tends to have a low-ish frame rate on things like control centre with existing software.

I never had to "set up" visual voicemail, it just sort of worked.

And I got this a lot on the 9.0 betas. Was on and off until about the fourth beta... It simply said visual voicemail wasn't available for some reason, it wouldn't work at all. As a result, I had the annoying red badge with no number on my phone app. I didn't fix it, it fixed itself. I had this badge for a second during the 9.3 betas but it again went away on its own. VZW iPhone 6.

You'll be able to upgrade to final release when it comes out, whether you're on beta or not.
