I never had to "set up" visual voicemail, it just sort of worked.

And I got this a lot on the 9.0 betas. Was on and off until about the fourth beta... It simply said visual voicemail wasn't available for some reason, it wouldn't work at all. As a result, I had the annoying red badge with no number on my phone app. I didn't fix it, it fixed itself. I had this badge for a second during the 9.3 betas but it again went away on its own. VZW iPhone 6.
The blank red badge on the Phone App has been around since the very first iPhone. If your network supports Visual Voicemail and you don't have a cellular data connection, then it shows it as a blank red badge. The weird thing is that Visual Voicemail only works on cellular, no idea why networks won't support it on Wi-Fi. I've seen it for years being on O2 in the UK.

Well, the red badge goes away on its own when I'm out of airplane mode. But having put the phone in airplane mode before for trips, I don't recall seeing the red badge then.

Should this beta 7 appear on iPad? And can I somewhere see which public beta I'm using?

Here's another bug I've had, which has been occurring for almost all of the 9.3 betas (so long I can't remember). I would be interested to know if anyone else is suffering the same problem.

It has to do with Photos/iCloud Photos.

First thing: In messages, if I press the camera button, the slider at the top that should show most recent images, shows two random photos from 8 months ago. It is always these two. Occasionally a most recent one will appear in front of these two, but invariably it does not. It seems entirely random.

Second thing: If I select 'Photo Library' from the menu, and select the photo I want, the progress bar fills up and after hitting 'choose' it is not added to the message.

It seemed to be working almost normally for the last couple of days before Beta 7 was released but it's back to being broken again now.

Anyone else?

It will show up on your iPad if you enrolled in the Public Beta program on the Apple account that is on the iPad. To see which version of the beta you're on, go to Settings, General, About and scroll down to Version. There, it will show you if you're on 9.3 and then the build number. Google the build number to see which version you're on. I'm on Build 13E5233A on my 5s, which is Beta 7.

Speed glitch still works. It's amazing how much faster it is. Battery life seems a tad better as well.

How is the 5s? My mom is on ios8, and I'm hesitant on whether to tell her to update when 9.3 comes out. I'm assuming it must be ok on the 5s of its ok on the 6?

For me it has been just fine. I really don't even feel like I'm on a beta most of the time. Once in awhile something odd happens (e.g., my calendar crashed the other day when I attempted to accept a meeting invite), but these sorts of things have been few and far between. I don't get all riled up about occasional stutters (and they do happen once in awhile, usually when the device has been wakened up or turned on).

Bottom line: I think your mom would be ok. But if you're concerned about it being a beta, the release version will likely be out next week following the Apple event on Monday.

Wow! BATTERY LIFE IS ABSOLUTELY STELLAR!!!

I'm just about at 50% for the day with 4 hours of usage, and 9 on standby. This is quite literally the absolute best battery life I have (personally) seen from ANY iOS 9 release, beta or final - since 9.3b5. Again, this is my own personal experience, but after doing an OTA update from b6 last night, battery today has been INCREDIBLE! I'm not sure what happened with b6, but it was absolutely horrendous only end with a 6s. Very happy to see the change! Apps appear to be loading almost instantly, and proactive Siri seems to be back once again after being gone since iOS 9 was originally released. I haven't received any of the advertised proactive features except the standard music when BT/headphones connect - but after the update, today I receive the commute to work alert. Very cool. No bugs to report as of yet.

so far so stable on 5s. that can be a candidate for GM :)

i don't think the final release will be much different than beta 7

We're probably on the actual build that will be released. (Judging by the screenshot elsewhere of the 13E233 build mentioned in a feedback reply) Release numbers are always cut down from the beta build numbers. So anyone on 13E5233a won't have to update (happened with 9.2 I believe, as well) because we're already on "233".

Can be true, it's so fluid and solid. I can't say it's a beta if I don't see the build number :)

I got pretty much identical result yesterday on my 6 as well. (Over 9 hours usage with over 15 hours standby and still had 12%. I could have stretched the standby well past 20 hours but I plugged it in before going to bed instead of in the morning (which that 12% would have easily been able to last while I slept)

Is anyone having notification sounds issues when paired to an Apple Watch? I'm no longer getting alert sounds from upcoming calendar events or ESPN alerts. I do get sound alerts from the iphone on phone calls and messages app.

Have you un-paired and re-paired the AW?

I thought 9.3 was supposed to be out today...for the public. I also thought the apple keynote was today as well (iPad Air 3,etc). But I guess not.. Not sure why I'm wanting 9.3, probably not going to be much different that what I have now. I just wish there was a camera image improvement.

Just hit 50% battery with 4 hours, 10 minutes of usage and 10 hours, 34 minutes of standby.

Very pleased. Before Beta 7, I was maxing out at 6 hours of usage and 12 hours of standby.

I've been seeing some issues with the Music.app. Searches in Apple Music are not loading up results all the way and not showing songs under albums. Just had it happen to me a few times while browsing. iPhone 6sPlus. Anybody else seeing this?

Just tried that, didn't fix it. Strange thing, with calendar alerts on my iPhone, it doesn't show on my lock screen and no sound alerts. I turn off notifications on the Apple Watch and it works it should on my iPhone.

Correction, messages is the same. No notifications on lock screen or sound on my iPhone when connected to my Apple Watch.

Please report bugs to bugreport.apple.com (a developer account is not required to do this).

iOS 9.3 beta 7
Availability:
Developer Beta and Public Beta
Build: 13E5234a for 6S & 6s plus
13E5233a for other devices

These are the release notes for iOS 9.3 beta 7, copied from the Apple Developer Centre since some users were requesting them. Enjoy!
Notes and Known Issues

App Store

Known Issue

Users who performed an iCloud or iTunes restore onto a device with iOS 9.3 beta 3 from a backup created with iOS 9.3 beta 1 or 2 may be unable to install apps or log into iCloud when upgrading to iOS 9.3 beta 7.
Workaround: Perform an erase-install of iOS 9.3 beta 7 and restore data from either the iCloud or iTunes backup.
Apple ID

Known Issues

When using a Shared iPad, the device may hang for a few minutes at logout.
If you reboot your Access Point and a Shared iPad cannot reconnect to your network, you also need to reboot your Shared iPad.
Apple Watch

Known Issue

Certain features in the Apple Watch app require the developer seed of watchOS 2.2.
Dictionary

Known Issue

A user updating to an iOS 9 GM build from a seed build may see duplicate dictionaries in the definition dictionary list if the user switched primary language, added secondary languages, or added new keyboards.
Workaround: To remove the duplicate dictionaries, go to the definition dictionary list, swipe the dictionary, and tap the Delete button.
Simulator

Known Issue

Photos app in Simulator does not sync photos from iCloud Photo Library.
Wi-Fi

Known Issue

In a classroom environment with many iPad devices connected to a single access point, some devices may intermittently lose data connectivity with Classroom, other devices, and the Internet, even though the status bar shows that the device is connected to a Wi-Fi access point.
Workaround: Disable and then reenable Wi-Fi from Settings > Wi-Fi to resume connectivity. Note that for a Shared iPad, you may need to reboot the affected device.

Bugs (New to beta 7):
  • "com.apple.springboard" shows up in Settings > Privacy > Location Services (only for some users!)

Bugfixes, Changes:

  • 6s modem firmware updated from 1.59.00 to 1.60.00
Performance Improvements:

Known issues are not high priority issues. They'll fix them on the final version and release it. Maybe they can leave some of them unfixed :) I expect an identical build on performance and stability

Guys have they fixed the alarm bug that was reported in beta 6? It is the reason why I stayed away from beta 6... cant risk the alarm to be messed up and me being late for work...
