Battery life is great on my iPhone 6. I want to say it might even be better than 8.3/8.4.

There's still some UI glitches and what not but I am able to make calls, use facetime, etc...Overall, pretty stable build.

Its crazy how the same devices all get different variations. My FaceTime (And Audio) does not work and has not done since beta 1. The mediaserverd log says Audio Control crashes and a stacks log says "callservicesd timed out connecting to imagent". My battery life is better than beta 1, but still not great. My phone got warm when not on low power mode and charging and stayed warm 5 hours later when I took it off charge. I'm still seeing higher than normal CPU usage, it does get warm when being used, battery depletes quick when being used. I expect it to be a bit off as its a beta but I don't get how a lot of people who have done an OTA are having hardly any problems yet mine is pretty bad.

I have a 6 by the way.

I stopped doing OTA updates for iOS many moons ago. I always download the firmware and alt+click "check for update" in iTunes and pick the firmware file. Apart from battery issues in beta 1 I've not experienced any of the issues.

The battery life went from insanely awful to insanely good for me. I have an iPhone 6.

Can't agree with this more. Beta 1 was really bad with battery drain. Beta 2 on both my iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 6 is outstanding. I took it off the charger at 7:20am and nearly 12 hours later with medium usage (messages, browsing web, work chat, etc.) I have 68% battery left. All bells and whistles like search/Siri/notifications and Apple Watch pairing enabled.

Anyone using the beta with Ipad 3 gen.? If how it is? :)
I didn't see any responses to your questions. I just posted in an iPad 3-related thread and included some comments. TL;DR version is "yes" and "pretty good, so far...". But, B1 was pretty good with battery life.

Installed B2 OTA around 2 p.m., fully charged. Took it off of the charger about 2:30. BTW, it was on VZW LTE only, wifi off (I have UL VZW data, so I don't care). Looked at about 9 a.m., it was "down" to 99%. After very light use on Newsify and streaming playlists from Amazon Music (I have Prime) for 5-odd hours on LTE it's "down" to 93%.

There's a few 3rd-party apps crashing or not working properly but that's to be expected. I like it better than iOS 8.3.

Has anyone been seeing a long delay when trying to download things? It happens to me downloading podcasts. Tried Overcasts and Pocket Casts. Sometimes when downloading apps I see a delay before the download starts too. This delay is up to a minute long at times. Doesn't matter if it's on WiFi or LTE.

While not a gen 3 iPad I've had both beta's on my iPad mini retina and while the software ran pretty smooth it did have the battery hiccup. On beta 1!it held a charge as it had with iOS 8.4 throughout its first charge cycle. Then strangely when I went to charge it overnight that changed. I plugged it in and shutdown the iPad for the night. Completely turned it off. When I went to turn it on the next day it was dead. It should've been charged at 100% but nope. Dead even while plugged in.

Since beta 2 it's been holding a good charge and is running very smooth

I want to add that the strange change log text that was present in app updates in beta 1 is gone and back to normal with beta 2. Not sure if that's been mentioned.

That's my method, as well. It's worked well in the past for me and I'm doing the same with beta 2 right now.

This got me excited again! I jumped on the b1 bandwagon too soon, and simply could not use it as a daily driver with my usage and the battery drain.

I shall give it another go, because I am seeing some awesome results here, and I miss the small tweaks and changes of the iOS 9 already!

Back to b2 we go!

Mine is devenitely better than Beta 1 but there are sometimes a few moments in which my batterie drains again. In options I can see much background activity espacially facebook and whatsapp even though I turned it off.

Been off charge since 8:45am.. Now 3:04pm. Battery life isn't too bad for me. Been snapchatting most of the day so that could be why battery is going quick.

Ran low battery mode all day. 13 hours usage (heavy : YouTube,Safari,Facebook) and about 15.5 hours standby before I got to 1%. 2 glitches all day. One while I was writing this comment. You think this beta is goo wait until b3... iPhone 6 Plus btw. Now off to finish top gun.

BT, WiFi and Apple Watch connected the whole time, and the battery life is better on Beta 2 than iOS 8!

Anyone tempted by this as a daily driver, I'd advise against it. You mileage may vary but here's my experience:
- Won't sync with the Apple Watch
- FaceTime doesn't work (as reported)
- Crashes a lot more than Beta 1
- Choppy animations (not smooth at all)
- Music app crashes lots
- Battery better than Beta 1 but still awful

I feel sorry for you mate I'm not experiencing any of that. My battery and performance on beta 2 is fantastic!! I feel like I'm on GM software atm beta 1 was horrible. And I've got this beta on my iPhone 6 as my daily driver.

I've even chosen not to go back to 8.3 for the jailbreak because this beta got me loving iOS 9. The way camera and photos work now so smooth in transitions.
