Interesting Didn't see that. Here it is: https://twitter.com/cue/status/616113506018955264

Eddy Cue @cue
@D2007CAVS new iOS 9 beta coming early next week
1:18 AM - 1 Jul 2015
Interesting how one of the bigger things applying to the discussion--which has come up in articles and in this thread--is somehow something that goes unseen, but pretty much any post that I make, even when it's not even about what it's being accused of, that gets repeatedly and unnecessarily jumped on. If that doesn't just come off with a strong sense of bias, stalking, and/or baiting, I'm not sure what would. (But, again, it's "all in good fun", right?)
It's not stalking, it's just that whenever I go to one of these threads, I see you constantly condemning any and all speculation. Perhaps this website (which is called MacRumors) isn't for you, or at the very least, the iOS 9 subforum.
Perhaps actually reading instead of just automatically reacting (to things that didn't even happen) would help. Not sure what you might be seeing (or basically seeing because you just might want to see it), but i haven't really being doing that And certainly consistently getting off topic by jumping on someone's opinion is worse than what is even supposedly being commented on. But all that seems just a bit too rational to actually do for those that like to just jump on things and essentially bait (whether they might realize it or not, although they likely do). So we'll leave it there.

I haven't read everything that's been said, but I think he's more chapped about people who say "it WILL be out on x day" stating their opinion as fact. Which no one but the people who deal directly with releasing it know.
Yeah, that's the main misleading part. It's one thing to speculate and have fun and all that, it's another to start stating things that imply something is known or is certain when that's not the case--that's outside of speculation really and isn't really "fun" (but I guess everyone's definition of "fun" is different, which still doesn't mean that something shouldn't be called out when it's worthy of being called out).

Well of course, but it's all in good fun. It's just like when people try to predict / make- up trades between two sports teams. It's all hypothetical and fun to speculate about.

I agree, discussing and speculating is fun, I do it all the time. But some people do tend to state their opinion as fact and don't listen to anything else. :)

Anyhoo. I'm sure today is officially out of the question for beta 3 (and hopefully public 1) and tomorrow is looking more likely since Eddie cue did tweet "early next week" last week.

Well then you're taking things too seriously. It's unlikely that anyone in this thread knows the actual release date with certainty because of actual inside information. I've yet to see anyone in these types of threads force dates onto other people as if they were fact. Feel free to find examples for me.

Tuesday is "early next week". It's been Tuesday since beta 1. It'll be Tuesday. Did I say it'll be Tuesday?

B1 was released on a Monday, not Tuesday, only b2 was released on a Tuesday.

The most common days for the beta updates are Monday and Tuesday.

There have been people saying something like "it will be here on Monday" or other things of similar effect. There certainly have been some posts to that effect throughout this thread (and other similar threads). Those who follow the threads or read through them know that they are there.

Questioning those types of statements to see if they have something that actually points to it (and in some cases there might be something, like the very tweet that you yourself seemed to have missed that did narrow things down) or if they simply meant to say it in the sense of "I think..." or "I hope..." is rather valid and often useful thing in a discussion.

Just saying something like "it's all in good fun" or " you are taking things too seriously" doesn't really contribute anything and can take away from an actual discussion related to the topic.

Perhaps you're overestimating the formality of this forum.

Or perhaps it's being unnecessarily underestimated. In any case, none of this is related to beta 3 or anything like that, so no point of running around in circles continuously (and hopefully that will be the case beyond this particular thread as well).

How is that possible? In the same way you claim that people force beta release dates onto others as facts, you too are forcing a rule onto others that speculation is detrimental to this forum. There is no rule in the forum rules against speculating. Why not go tell Mark Gurman that his rumors / leak articles are wrong and detrimental until Apple has confirmed them? Same idea, no?

Still missing (or just conveniently ignoring) the actual point it seems, and trying to deflect the focus on something that's not even there. That's alright, it seems that others seem to get it. But, like I said, no point of going in circles and taking things further off-topic. Life goes on.

It's very likely that when the Developer Preview 3 build comes out that we will see the Public Beta 1 build along side it. Not guaranteed but very likely.
Yeah it does totally make sense. I mean, if it is stable and now apple music will be available on it, why waste two weeks when people could be testing it out during that time?

I may be wrong here, but I don't think beta 3 is coming today...lol.

Tuesday is still early in the week and it's Apple's usual day. We'll see it tomorrow!
