Even if all the features of Apple Music weren't ready to go, they should have included the new Music app in the earlier iOS 9 betas and then flipped the proverbial switch on the 30th. Having to wait for a new beta for an app that exists on an earlier version of iOS just strikes me as odd.
Sounds like a deliberate decision to me. They're trying to create a pattern where they hold back features purposely so that non-dev enthusiasts would stop installing beta software!

Sucks for us one device devs though (we do exist...free/low income apps FTW).

Factually Wednesday AT NOON is the middle of the week
In one sense of it for sure. Then again if you take the week as a whole (with the weekend included) and consider it staring on Minday, then Thursday at noon can be seen as the middle of the week (and anything before it can be considered as "early" in the week, in a sense).

Maybe it will take longer, because they are trying to release the public beta at the same time.
They obviously need to update that website too, so it takes longer.

That's something they'd probably do in advance because they can update the site to a new version with the click of a button, just like when the site is suddenly updated after an event with the new stuff.

But what if they forgot?

How does this make any sense they'll have one team for iOS development & one team for website development who work with each other to meet deadlines

We're not seeing it today I mean surly we can all use Spotify in the meantime?!

someone tweeted that they are releasing it at 2pm ET, she claims to work at Apple, let's see. Something about avoiding server drama at 1pm.

Rmb the days when CSS and images would fail after an event lol.

They don't need to release the public beta's site before they release the dev beta, they've already released 2 dev betas so they'd probably want to use it for an hour or two before going full public. I wouldn't start freaking out until 1-2 PST - nobody announced a 10 AM PST release and all the rumor sites this morning indicated it was going to be released late

Surely her tweet defeats that objective because now she's just gonna have to deal with server drama at 2pm?

Here we go again, this is amusing watching everyone trying to figure out when "early week" really is! Haha

I am SO glad I have two iPhones. I would be way too impatient if I was running iOS 9 beta and beta 3 wasn't released today.
