i saw a 11 PST release time as well... honestly that's the only legitimate time i've seen anywhere other than 'early this week'

The girl, Tyler, has on her profile that she works in iOS dev, not sure how real it is, but seems they are aiming for 2pm ET instead of 1pm.

In one sense of it for sure. Then again if you take the week as a whole (with the weekend included) and consider it staring on Minday, then Thursday at noon can be seen as the middle of the week (and anything before it can be considered as "early" in the week, in a sense).

In no universe does the week start on a Monday.

Weeks run Sunday thru Saturday. That's why it's called the "weekend"-- because it's made up of the two days at each end of the week.

<-- Su Mo Tu We Th Fr Sa -->

Sunday at one end, Saturday at the other end. The weekend. Like a bookend.

This is so dumb and I hope the new beta comes fast!

I swear to god, someone at Apple is reading this thread right now. Spilling coffee on their table.
And that's precisely why updates aren't being pushed out--they just can't turn away from this thread, not even for a minute (otherwise they'll have 5 pages of posts to catch up on after that minute).

@thatJohann: I'm willing to bet that person simply can't do time zone conversion. Also, I'm thinking "Tyler" is the male pictured... not the female. What kind of first and middle name is "Tyler Joseph" for a woman?

Except, you know. The official ISO standards for week formats.

  1. According to the international standard ISO 8601, Monday is the first day of the week ending with Sunday as the seventh day of the week. Although this is the international standard, countries such as the United States still have their calendars refer to Sunday as the start of the seven-day week.

Plenty of countries have the week starting on Monday as I recall. The weekend consisting of two days makes sense in that context of it (as in both of its days that are part of it) happening at the end of the week. So certainly not only this universe, but even this planet.

Well if she does work there, she needs to learn how to spell still. Her bio says "Graduated college with a degree in business and i work at Apple Inc in there iOS Development Department."
