B4 battery is bad. Not B1 bad but second worst so far. B2 was the best battery life I have ever had.

Not sure what's causing the drain in B4 but at 100%, it drops to 60% within an hour and that's using Spotify, a hookup app and email with some texting. Nothing crazy.

Had mine off the charger for about 5 hours, playing Apple Music via bluetooth for a majority of that time along with texting etc.. and I'm sitting at 62%

Yeah, I'm not noticing any drop in life so far at all (though it's really too soon to tell.). Guess it just depends on a lot of things?

My 6+ and iPad Mini 3 have been fully charged since I installed yesterday, and my usage today is about like it ever has been, and battery life seems to be at least on par to this point as it was since beta 2. And well beyond anything it's ever been in beta 1 or iOS 8 and below.

I know somethings different with beta 4 because it's almost 6:00 pm and I'm at 42% with almost a full day with beta 4 and with beta 1 I would have been at 20% or less using the phone the same way I always do and I never went into 3G it stayed on LTE all day

so for iphone 6 the battery with beta 4 is abnormal, almost like beta 1, but without the heat, it doesnt get warm at all but its draining. i noticed that even when the phone is off from a dead battery..when u hold it up to ur ear as if u were on a call, u can hear a faint steady static like sound from the speaker, the sound a speaker makes when it has power but is idle not playing any sound, that "idle noise" sound.. having it plugged into my computer to charge is taking forever, from dead to auto power on, it took 13 minutes, when it normally takes 5 minutes & its struggling to charge

has anyone else noticed this? especially the noise from the speaker on front screen?

Yesterday I put my phone on charge in the evening with 15% battery left. Previous beta I have about 60% normally.

Today I took it off the charger at around 8am, and now at 9:45am I have 88%

Something is deffo iffy here. FB messenger seems to be eating battery in the background. In the last 24 hours it's used 28% battery (12.2 hrs background)

Facebook and Facebook Messenger are terrible apps to leave running. Always have been and probably always will be.

I don't mean to spoil the fun or anything, but people come to this forum looking for useful information. If they're browsing existing topics, like this one, instead of starting their own, it would certainly be nice if I (we) didn't have to scroll past a page of essentially ****-posting and image macros before reaching some valid answers to a question.

Thinking of installing the beta myself, and this is exactly the kind of thing I'd like to know if using it as a daily driver.

Performance of Beta 4 on an iPad 3rd generation (i.e. just before they introduced the model with lightning port) seems very good and ALMOST back up to iOS 6 levels. For example, I was always miffed at how slow keyboard response was -- I'd type, and the keyboard would catch up seconds later. This has been fixed in Beta 3 but especially beta 4. The only issue is random freezes for seconds on end -- open Settings, for example, and you might be staring at the screen wondering if your screen tap was registered. I'm sure this'll be cleaned up before the main release though.

Just as an update. Not done anything with my phone except a 4 minute call and now at 14:30 I'm down to 45%

Starting a thread like this one at a time when actual answers can be provided would likely help with that.

Can't agree more...3 pages of performance based comments...almost none about battery which IS the topic. For me it seems battery life is a little worse than Beta 3 was. I'm burning through maybe 15% to 20% battery each of the last 2 days I've been running it with normal usage.

My iPhone 6 on B4 was on 100% for 2.5 hours with 20 mins of use... promising sign for me.

iPhone 6 user here and I agree with Yun0. The battery is really bad on Beta 4. Don't know why. It was superb on B3.

I must be one of the very few not having battery life issues with this Beta. It's equal to Beta 3 for me

On my Air 2, based on <24 hours of use (too little to be definitive), I think I'm getting a little less run time on PB2 (= 4) than PB1 (= 3). Both are good, though. PB1 was = 8.4.

so far so good

I'm happy to report that both my Air 2 and 6Plus are doing much better on beta 4 than beta 3. Much faster performance (especially on 6Plus), more stable, better battery life, just feels more solid all around.

The screenshot below is after over 5 hours of FB, Tweetbot, games and News. I'm seeing over 30% more battery on both Air 2 and 6Plus. I'm looking at beta 2 battery life. Still not what I was getting on 8.3/8.4 but more than beta 3.

iPhone 6Plus on 8.3/8.4 was 13-15 hours and beta 4 looks like 11-12.

Did OTA update and then Reset All Settings.

iPhone 6 user as well as iPad Air 2 user here! I will comment that performance and battery life are much better for both devices. I don't get why some users are having battery drains. Still sitting at 100% after about 1.5 hours of standby and 20 minute of usage.

My iPhone's have always done that after fully charging to 100%. A lot of times it won't drop below 100% till I hit about 30-45 mintues of usage so it takes some time to get the ball rolling on their algorithm. They want to show you the highest possible percentage to make you think you are getting better battery life at the beginning. You'll notice battery seems to drop faster after about 50% or so too as the number becomes more accurate. This is my experience since the iPhone 4 with all my idevices. Try leaving it at any percentage under 90% or so and you'll see it will drop 2-7% overnight. Have a great day! :)

I'm afraid you're quite, quite wrong. Tried as you suggested and nothing of the sort happened. My advice is to look into this issue you're having as soon as possible.

Location 24/7 ON, screen brightness- 15 - 20 %
Wifi ON 24/7 too all this on my iPhone 5S
