It used to be, but it seems as of late that Apple has been either not putting an expiration date or making it way in the future

He said that his Beta 2 expired so there already IS a new one out with beta 3. 😉

Perhaps they made it so the expiration date of the one before the newest one coincides with a new beta.

Perhaps they made it so the expiration date of the one before the newest one coincides with a new beta.

This is a good reason and I hope it's the case but someone else said next Tuesday to put off the launch of Windows 10 which launches a day later!

Different teams, so I doubt it, if it's scheduled for today I am sure they will continue.

But that's beta 2. Beta 3 was released 2 weeks ago for developers. I don't think this means anything other than the developer didn't update to the latest build.

It's interesting how much of a difference we have in threads/posts regarding this beta compared to beta 3. Beta 3 blew MacRumors up.

This suggests that the current betas are definetly usable.

Not really. It's more likely because the release window wasn't announced ahead of time as well as the fact that last time a lot of people were waiting for Apple Music support and the public beta.

Beta 4 could bring very small changes in comparison as far as we know.

Apple can't do two things on the same day? They can. Updates are normally released in two hours time, the earnings call is six hours away.

I think the betas will be delayed until tomorrow due to the downtime on a lot of their services. How would they distribute DP4 of El Cap if the MAS is down?
