I had to downgrade today. I can deal with battery drain, but I was experiencing loss of battery while it was charging (same adapter/power as usual) while doing something simple like browsing Twitter it was so bad.

I'm confident it'll be resolved by the GM. I can't recall there ever being a beta where I didn't have some battery life problems. But this is just too much. But again, I'm not too concerned about what we'll get in a month.

Yeah. I'm running in low power mode and with 1 hr 46 min usage I was at 50% battery life. It's kinda ridiculous.

Hello,
Before I updated I
Turned "Off" Reduce Motion in General/Accessiblity
Updated to iOS9pb3
It heated up again.
I then Turned "On" Reduce Motion.
Battery seems a lot better, iPad is not hot.

I think thats a success as I never had Reduce Motion turned Off anyway.
Left Feedback to that effect with the Feedback App on the iPad Air

Now for the iPhone 5S

OK, I've done this on the iPhone5s too now.
It's certainly better, iPhone is certainly not as warm as it was. Battery drains quicker than 8.4 - but nowhere as quickly as having "Reduce Motion" OFF.
The suggestion that I try low-power mode above might be in order, I will continue playing, but for now I'll have pb3 on the iphone over the weekend.

I'm gonna give this a shot. It's the one tweak I've overlooked.

8hrs in airplane mode and untouched with power saving enabled- minus 6%. Never been like this.
Already did reset all settings, turn off routing, reduce motion enabled, restarted after power saving mode on - nothing helps.

Not much has helped mine either. Just gonna have to wait for the next update I guess

Seems weird, but my iPhone 6 seems to be behaving better at the moment... I am on holiday and using the phone a lot, was worried that the heat / battery life would be an issue.... But no, it seems to be a lot better.

I am roaming from my home country, but do have data roaming enabled all the time.

Very strange

Of the weekend the iPhone drained a bit more than I liked. It didn't heat up, but didn't last the working day.
So thats now gone back to 8.4.1.

The iPad remains at ios9pb3.
