For those getting the PB OTA update message after updating to the GM:

Remove the beta profile under settings>general>profile

Check storage & usage to see if the beta has already been downloaded to your device (in my case, it had finished downloading by the time my restore completed) and if it's there, delete it.

After you've done these two things, do a hard reset and then check software update. It should tell you you're up to date.

These steps worked for me, but as with anything ymmv. I'm assuming the beta profile carried over during the update to GM (for me anyway) and this is what's causing the software to think an update is available.

I couldn't locate a file under storage and usage. I would imagine it's a large one but not sure. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It was something like 1.5GB when I checked and deleted it. Did you try deleting the PB profile and then doing a hard reset?

I deleted the profile. Hard reset is the power and home button combo right?

Software update is still prompting you to update to the PB? Even after deleting the beta profile under settings>general>profile
Yea. The weird thing is this is only happening on my iPad not my iPhone and I followed the same steps for both.

I have 3 email accounts setup in Mail.app. 2 Outlook accounts and 1 gmail.

I dont get any push notications for my Outlook accounts unless I delete the gmail account from the Mail.app

Has anyone ran into this problem?

Siri does not beep anymore on the 6 Plus. Not sure if a bug, but iPads apparently still have the start and stop audio clips.

so what do you think guys..is it safe to install Gm or better stay on 8.4.1 for a little bit?

Not the most stable iOS at the moment but definitely usable. I'm sure 9.0.1 will help to eradicate some bugs.

I was running PB and I torrented imzdl's iOS 9 GM ipsw and installed it clean on my 6 Plus. I put back my backup from previous PB too. It's running perfectly fine. Some stutters here and there, but everything is as per normal like in Beta 5.

I mentioned my worries for the public release of iOS9 a few weeks ago on here, the main issue being that on a completely fresh install of iOS9 everything is fine and dandy... However if you upgrade a previous version, after 5 minutes of use the 6 plus gets stupidly hot and the battery drains at around 1% every couple of minutes. I understood it was a beta, but my worry was that this would happen for the public rollout of iOS9 and it is not acceptable to tell the general public that they have to work from a fresh install of iOS9 if they don't want the bug. Everyone expected that the issue would be fixed.... However...

Last night I updated my everyday 6plus to the GM, as it's not beta and will effectively be the build released to the general public it should have been safe. The phone has been upgraded now for 12 hours (ish) so indexing should have finished now. Yet low and behold on my commute this morning... After 5 minutes of use, hot phone and battery dropping like crazy.

This is NOT going to be an acceptable launch! There are going to be complaints all over if this bug is not fixed before the public rollout. As I have said, I don't care that much for myself, but you can't tell the general public to use a fresh install of iOS 9 and not upgrade / restore a backup!

I said this on another thread as well there should of been at least a beta 6 to iron out the battery issues. I think they are rushing it to get new iPhones out and iPad pro. There will be huge backlash over this next week.

Am having issues with iTunes sync. After restore iOS and then restore from backup my apps wouldn't install from iTunes but only through downloading the apps again over wifi / internet. Also issues with syncing photos... And Outlook app is not syncing as far back as before... (cant find that particular setting). For the rest iOS 9 looks pretty nice...

I am noticing the app thing when they don't install back from iTunes after restoring since maybe beta4, tried everything to force it but nothing worked. Have to sit and wait until the iphone install everything through WiFi which sucks.

Anybody else facing this?!

I was running iOS 9 PB3 on my 6 Plus, I removed the beta profile and restored from the iOS 9 GM IPSW, and yet my Settings app shows a notification as if there is an update available now. When I check for updates there are none (which there shouldn't be either), however soft/hard reset does not remove the notification on the Settings app.

Anyone else experiencing this?
