Let's just hope someone fat fingered a 6 instead of a 9 and we all get updated on Wednesday.

Today it's a month since the last beta. 30 days is probably just the standard expiration time. I guess new beta tomorrow. No GM.

So I was messing around with the date on my phone and I noticed a weird pop up about beta iOS 9 appear but I dismissed it by accident before reading it. So I tried the same thing on my iPad and got the attached pop up. Anybody else seeing this? Does it mean that the GM may be coming tomorrow??!! I've never seen this in betas before.

Try this on your iOS 9 beta 5 device and let me know if you see it.

What do you guys make of this?

Are you guys running the public beta or developer beta for this message pop up?

I'm running the developer beta and received the pop-up this morning around 0430 Eastern Time when I turned my iPad on.

GM was finalized as of end of last week and 9/9 is a few days away, makes sense to me.

I've never seen that pop up before which is why it's odd to me but I did post this to the iOS 9 subreddit and so far at least one other person has received this pop up.
I got the same pop up last night on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 (both running iOS 9 beta software).

They have to put them on the devices in the factory so they're ready for preorders and launch day. It's the reason why there's a 1 month delay between the final beta and the GM.

I'm sure he was asking for proof because the person he quoted gave a pretty specific time as to when GM was finalized. (End of last week) Which no one but Apple would know.

Doubtful Apple will release anything before Wed. It doesn't make any sense for them to spill the beans early. The GM has been finalized and is probably being loaded onto the new iPhones as we speak so there's no need for another beta.
