It's also "hilarious" that if the iPad is not working the way you think and there is a configuration tweak that could help...

Why should I turn down the visuals when I didn't have to on 8.4.1?I can't bear to even look at iOS with RT on.I will just sell the device if it ever comes to that
I was talking about iPad 4.

But I will say this, Safari was terrible for me on iOS 8 and it didn't matter the device. I don't miss iOS 8 at all. Not one bit.
Don't get where this crash stuff is coming from.I used Chrome and it never crashed once on 8

I prefer Safari, which crashed frequently. Plus springboard crashes were much more prevalent on 8.

This isn't the case with iOS 9, which is much more stable. I rate on stability. Slight animation issues don't hinder the OS and they'll eventually get worked out.

Well selling the device is your call. I think without all of that eye candy the display looks much crisper. If it were me, I would dial down the settings until apple fixes it; it's not that big of a deal, TO ME. Obviously it is to you, but sometimes you gotta go with the flow.

So you want me to dial down settings on a barely year old device

I guess it depends on your experience. I accidentally updated my iPad to iOS 9 and never before have I had so many crashes in Safari, Mail or Music. Under iOS 8 a Safari crash was a very rare thing, which is sadly not the case under iOS 9. This is on a clean install - I had to abandon my backup as it was too slow. I have three devices on iOS 9 which all will crash under certain circumstances in notification centre - crash as in completely freeze so that I have to hold the home and lock button in.

A lot of people must have had dodgy installs of iOS 8 to have had so many crashes.

What a concept that people can actually have different experiences with the same types of hardware and software.

I don't know - I still believe that people just don't perceive things or people are comparing on unfair terms (e.g. a dodgy install of iOS 8) however I'm not wiling to argue it, because it will go around in circles.

I think that if you have two devices which are the same, with a clean install, then iOS should perform identically.

You must be one of the few that has a dodgy iOS 9 install with safari crashes and in the minority. iOS 9 is rock solid on my iPad 2.

My iOS 8 experience was a clean install on my 6+. So your theory is incorrect. I haven't experienced crashes on iOS 9. 8 was terrible.

But you've certainly proved one thing, your experience may vary. Maybe the folks who are claiming that the folks who aren't having issues with iOS 9 aren't telling the truth, can frame your post and put it on their wall.

One post, experiences may vary and next post people perceive? In other words, people perceive constant crashing on an iOS version is really not happening when it is?

That's why we go around in circles, eh?

A clean install of iOS 9 over two iPad 2s :p (Actually multiple clean installs on both).

I've read a lot of people unhappy with iOS 9 over the internet so really who knows who is in the minority. Most the threads on here concerning iOS 9 on the iPad 2 seem feature the majority unhappy with it, with a few people saying it is better.

I really don't understand how iOS installs can vary so very much. Maybe iOS 9 fixed issues on newer devices and not on others... It is a strange phenomenon. At the moment, I rank iOS 9 more buggy than iOS 7.0 was on my iPhone 4... The crashing and freezing is driving me up the wall, especially on the Mini 2.

Seriously.I wasn't even on MR last year .I had no idea Safari even crashes because it never did EVER on my devices on 8.4.1

I've read a few posts were folks were saying the Mini 2's were having issues.

I don't understand how experiencs vary, but they do. In my case, my 6+ and Air 2 are doing wonderfully on b3. My wife's 5s is the same, it's running great. Her iPad 4 was not running smoothly on iOS 9.1. On b3, it's seen a huge jump in smoothing out iPad 4. Still needs work, but it's now acceptable in the animation department.

I've concentrated on reporting animation issues in detail on all the devices, because I believe they are focusing on smoothing things out in this beta run. From 9.1 to 9.2b3, on my devices, smoothness is night and day. My 6+ and Air 2 have never been better.

In a prior post, you specifically said you used Chrome. Come on my man. ;)
Clearly not being in forums and following it online means that iOS 8 was good and stable since no complaints were heard about. I guess for many people out there iOS 9 amazing since they aren't on the forums and don't hear about issues.

Chrome uses Safari's engine.Theres no difference between the two apart from interface and sync with all devices
And? It uses the engine only. You think that's the entirety of Safari? If so, you're kidding yourself.

Guys. GUYS. I sold my iPhone 6+ and bought a 6S and guess what..

NO LAG. ANYWHERE. Game over.
And yet there were some others seeing lag on 6s devices as well. (Just as there are those with 6 and earlier devices that have posted about not experiencing lag.)

Some people collect stamps.
They should check the refurbished devices better and not like a small company. Apple is a really big company, their product control shouldn't be bad like that.

Apple fanboy here. I hear what you're saying. Nonetheless, I'm horrified to consider Apple could become the next RIM.

Hmmm, they won't, but there are as cheep as hell. Just for the money, they try to force users to 64Gb as the 32Gb version was skipped (deliberately). You cannot install additional storage (like on other phones), so you actually can only buy as of the 64Gb version, as the 16Gb is just a joke. But cheating us on 1 extra Gb on RAM......seriously, that is just pathetic.

Might be a little smoother, but not near as stable.

8.4.1 was a mess. Apple Music slowed down the system, Safari crashes and reloads were a feature and springboard crashes were the in thing. I don't care how smooth 8.4.1 is, it was a mess. 9 will eventually be as smooth as 8, but more importantly it's much more stable than 8.
And my Bluetooth would crash every time the second device tried to connect: like entering your car on headset; once in the car, the entire Bluetooth stack would belly up on 8.4.1.

I had the issue on 8.2 and 8.4. iOS 9 fixed it. To me, major bugs trump eye candy. But then again, I'm not experiencing the lag on my devices, so I don't know what frustration you must be going through.

What other phones can you install storage on? New Galaxy and note?
