Yeah. If you have a work computer or a friend with Windows, do that since I can guarantee it works as I've done it 3 times.
I just wanted to update incase anyones in the same position, it finally worked. The key I think is to not just update you have to restore to 9.0.2. and start from scratch (at least with a Mac) it went flawlessly then on both my iPhone 6 and Air 2.

The weird thing is that I did that twice and it worked both times. I used it on my 6s and 6s plus so it's not like it was different devices. Anyway whatever gets the result is the best way in the end. Have fun jail broken!

I jailbroke my iPhone 6s+ the night the JB was released. So…version 1.0. It kept failing until I restored as new. Once I did that it went right through.

I had to do that for two secondary phones (iPhone 5) when the JB was for 8.3/8.4 as well.

So, that and some other bits I've picked up (DFU mode for restore) is collectively how I put together my process to jailbreak. It's a PITA to restore as new, JB and then restore from backup. But…you only do it once (unless you are forced to restore later on for some reason) and the time spent doing it is less than the time you spend beating your head against the wall trying to make it work when it won't.

I have no idea why a restore as new works (I can speculate that it's because it's a clean phone) but it does.

It's too late to upgrade to 9.02...u got 9.1.
Not true. You can download the firmware from ipsw.me and manually update to it using shift+update in iTunes.

Oh that's bad. I'm sorry that happened to you. It's frustrating having to restore and then rejailbreak and then reinstall tweaks. I hope you can get everything back. I've managed to skirt away from software errors luckily.

there's no problem at this point.

guys take note bio protect will cause your phone to go into a boot loop if something went wrong ... now how I came to this conclusion after what was my 2 nd boot loop of death and having to redo everything bcoz of pangu 1.2 I installed some tweaks not the whole range and I know this boot loop of death only happens in certain circumstances but if you have ccsettings and u hit the reboot button you are quite safe so I started deleting tweaks one after another and each time I did that I reboot from cc and when I did that it rebooted into safe mode meaning the problem tweak was still installed I did this for one or two tweaks no change still safe mode ... right after I uninstalled bio protect huge change you can tell by the way it boots and no safe mode so by this process of elimination I have found that bio protect can be added to the list of culprits so I suggest uninstalling just in case

now that's pangu for mac is available, I am thinking of JBing my iDevices but I'm concern with how unstable the JB/Cydia/tweaks are at the moment. Maybe it's best to wait more?

Yea not saying you were feeding me wrong info or anything was just sharing what I found out to be the cause for me.

Works flawless for me just check the compatibility thread and make sure whatever tweaks worked for others. I used the Mac app worked good restoring to 9.0.2 and then restoring from a backup.

Just jailbroke with the Mac tool. Super smooth. Medusa and iPhone 6+ are heavenly. Hope PIP gets fixed soon. Thanks Pangu!

Pip isn't working yet for the phones. Unless the developer updated, but it doesn't work on my version. Also a bit problematic in that the app crashes some apps.
Oh ok it doesn't work on my phones either, thought it was just an iPad only thing as it works in my Air2. I've been on 8.4 for awhile and out of the game.

Just to clear this up--Medusa is a jailbreak app for devices on iOS9 that allows split screen/slide-over/PIP on devices that aren't natively supported. PIP doesn't work yet with Medusa on jailbroken iPhones, and the app crashes apps that aren't compatible with split screen.

You can use video pane for pip
