Same on iPhone 5S from iOS 8+ but after 4 attempts it's working and fast.

EDIT: Did it OTA plugged in.

Failed on iPhone 6 and iPad Air running 8.1.4 when update over WiFi for 30-50x. Plug to iTunes on iMac, it simply start updating without any issue.

Interesting, it worked for my iPad also. I'm using my Macbook to charge them, wonder if that's the difference? Or else maybe I'm adding 2+2 and getting 5!

It's giving me the same issue with my iPhone 5. Tried restarting it, but that didn't have any effect. I guess I'll keep trying, see if it eventually decides to go. Someone posted something to the effect of trying it 5 times and then it worked.

Keep retrying the OTA. I kept getting the error, but its working now. Got to keep retying.

iOS 9.0 GM -> iOS 9.0 Final is around 40mb

My iPhone 4S successfully downloaded the update over iTunes 12.2.2.25 on OS X 10.10.5. The install is running at the moment.

I tried constantly from launch and nothing. Plugged it into power (even though I was at 100%) and it's now downloading, no error. May have just been a coincidence.

I'm dead in the water. Same error on my ipad retina and iphone 6

Let's not forget that the benefit of iOS is that it is available to every owner with a compatible device. I'd rather be in this ship than waiting over a year for carriers to approve updates a la Android.

It took me over 7 hours on 50mbps to finish downloading iOS 8 on release day. Servers are just inundated by the volume of requests. Thankfully this is a fraction of the file size to obtain.
