LOL I just read this after downgrading my Google drive app (1.5), and Chrome (39.x). Some of the newer versions of Chrome and Google Drive are ridiculous!:(

With iPhones crashing, I completely agree. This week I tested out 4 different iPhones...

iOS 5 iPhone 4
iOS 6 iPhone 4S (my current dying on)
iOS 7 iPhone 4S
iOS 8 iPhone 4S

Out of all of them, my iOS 6 4S was the favorite because, of the UI and simplicity. It has charisma every time I open it up, I feel happy and it looks fancy (Unlike the failed attempts at Apple with iOS 7 & 8):)

------------------
Why can't iOS 9 have different themes like Android (or if you jailbreak iOS ;)) Is it asking too much to be able to make our devices look how we want them to look and not be told what to do? (example running iOS 6 iBooks on a iOS 9 device without jailbreaking?)

Here is my iPad with a few iOS 6 shortcuts

A free music downloader. Apple is by far the best working best quality phone out there. The best service. A phone that you can always rely on. But I think the only reason people have androids is for free music downloaders. If Apple had some sort of installed app with the update that lets you search and listen to music for free. Add the music to your playlist. I honestly think every other phone would be out of business.

I bet most typical users (which represent the majority) don't even know about music downloads or anything of the sort. There's a whole lot more to what phone people get than something like that (the primary thing being the cost, with plenty Android phones being on the cheaper side).

I would like to have a really, truly, GOOD text reflow option for resizing ANY text on my screen. I should be able to double-tap on ANY text, and have that text automatically enlarge a little bit and AUTOMATICALLY REFLOW so that I don't have to scroll side-by-side to read that text. I should then be able to pinch-gesture to make said text larger or smaller, and double-tap again to make it reflow once more.

Android has had this for YEARS, and iOS does a terrible job of reflowing. Reader button is only in browser and even there it is cumbersome and well, it just ain't cutting it!

The big screens of the iPhone 6 and 6+ have helped somewhat with readability, but it's not been fully addressed as yet.

I say Apple needs to look at this as a high-priority opportunity; in other words, get off its butt and fix this. Now, because other mobile OSs have had this for many years now, I am now calling it "broken in iOS", not a new feature request.

Here are just a few examples of things that could benefit from a gesture-oriented text reflow feature...in no particular order:

  • TEXT messages
  • Web page articles
  • Forum posts
  • messages and dialog boxes that may pop up from an app
  • App Store descriptions, reviews, etcetera
  • 3rd party "store apps", such as Amazon app, Newegg app, etcetera.

Me too. The Mac has had this for the longest time, and it would be a welcomed addition to iOS

This is a must. The landscape support of the iPhone 6 (plus in particular) is unpredictable.

I seriously hope that Apple makes better use of the screen real estate of the larger devices.

I find myself asking "why" when I see so much blank space on my 6 Plus and iPad.

iPhone 6+ has had landscape support since day one, only the 6+ has it not the 6

Androids may be cheaper, I argue with my boyfriend all the time about this lol. He loves android and actually talked me into getting one. I left apple for a year and was so unhappy and couldn't wait for my upgrade to switch back. His galaxy along with my htc took forever to send messages. We have so many dropped calls. It may be where I live but with Apple I have never had service issues. I think a phone should do what a phone is suppose to do be reliable. As long as it doesn't fail me when I need it then I am fine. But his excuse for not getting Apple is the music thing. And I don't think Apple is to pricy. I paid $749 for my iPhone 6 and its 64gb. And my htc was $799 for 32gb. And my iPhone 6 works amazingly better. I guess it's a matter of opinion and the service where you live. I honestly don't know if everyone has text message failing and dropped calls with their androids. I would like to know though. Do you?

My father and my grandfather both have androids. There both have S5's running Kit-Kat! One is Verizon the other is AT&t.

Both S5's each never does not drop calls and, both receives texts quickly (pretty ironic my grandfather texts:rolleyes:).

However, I remember back when the S4 was new, my friend bought one with a faulty motherboard. Thus, his phone kept freezing. Eventually, he got a swapped for another S4 one and it works fine still to this day!

Btw, my father loves his S5 more than his IPhone 6+ 128 gb due to having more flexible audio playback! :D

2) Allow texts from VIPS to come thru during Do Not Disturb, like phone calls. Or an option slider to allow them.

you can already allow favorites to call, turn off repeated calls

In addition more DND options such as emails from a particular sender or even texts from favorites as well as calls.

Perhaps we could also allow apps to the allowed list under DND?

I think it means stealing?

You lot enjoy working and being told at the end of the week you're not getting paid because someone stole the work you produced.
Can you share how you live as I want in?

I'm not sure I understand?

It must be where I live then. I live sort of in the country with a lot of trees and hills. My iPhone works great here.

I want to be able to watch Webm's in Safari.

I am not sure what that is? lol

My family lives less than a mile from the ocean and, just like you, a area with tons of trees. No matter what cell provider or phone brand someone has, they always have terrible service in/near our neighborhood. We complained to our cell provider and got for free a cellular booster to enhance my families service signal.

____
I know for a fact each phone is different. Think of a cell phone brand/platform like a Cherry tree. If one cherry is rotten, you should not ignore the tree. Try another one.

One of the things I find funny is that people compare a used android to a Newer iPhone. It's like comparing a old 1950s rusty Chevy Pickup to a mint condition brand new Chevy Silverado. One is outdated and one is new.:p

Back on topic, I would love to see in iOS 9 to have the option on every device to send a text as a SMS text message or iMessage and, how a regular SMS could be transmitted and received via wifi (applies to our iPods and iPads too!):)

I just need/ want a native SIP client and VoIP built-into iOS.

Yes, I know FaceTime and all... but I need to be able to use my VoIP providers, several DIDs etc.

Apple, are you reading this? I have been emailing S. Jobs and T. Cook every quarter about this.

Don't those services have apps?

Put the bookmarks button back on the ####### right-hand side in Safari. I rolled my Air back to iOS7, in large part due to my frustration with that change. It worked fine, why'd they have to screw it up?!

Because it's part of the shard links tab as well, it is also where it's found in Safari on OS X, so it's more unified as it is now.

Being able to access settings shortcuts from spotlight search like in OS X. For example type bluetooth in spotlight and bluetooth settings menu opens.

- Long overdue custom grid arrangement PLEASE (if the best part of wallpaper is the middle, then I want to create a U-shaped arrangement or similar to show that off, and wouldn't that also boost the eye-catching factor of iPhone?)
- Some kind of swiping animation that just gives it a little extra, it doesn't need to be all about it like how Android is, but it sure would make it less dull.
- Instant integration of music files to Music app; e.g. I make a demo and can import it from GarageBand or iCloud Drive to Music or from Dropbox to Music.
- Music being less ew than it is now in 8.4 Beta, the bottom tabs HAVE to be configurable for one.
- Third-party keyboard issues fixed; it would be great if reply from notification center worked with more of them for example..

I know it's not gonna happen and I've been saying it for years, but Apple needs to buy Cydia and legitimize the theme makers and other developers there and incorporate it all into a new iOS release.

I like the idea but I doubt it would happen. It seems Apple went out of its way to hurt theming in OS X.
