I'd like to see both of these features implemented.

Me too. The Mac has had this for the longest time, and it would be a welcomed addition to iOS

This is a must. The landscape support of the iPhone 6 (plus in particular) is unpredictable.

I seriously hope that Apple makes better use of the screen real estate of the larger devices.

I find myself asking "why" when I see so much blank space on my 6 Plus and iPad.

Remote iPhone? Use your iPhone to control your iPad, MacBook or desktop, kind of like Front row, but for the whole device. And making an API for it as well. It could replace gaming consoles!

  1. FLAC or any other higher quality sound format.
  2. Fix the alignment of the icons. The top 4 apps are too high.
  3. Genius Playlists as it was at previous versions.
  4. iCloud sync of Health data.

How about a stock calculator and weather app for the iPad?

Apple really needs to integrate better the emoticons keyboard into the default keyboard. If you want to use the default keyboard but you installed also a custom keyboard, it's not normal to select emoticon and then switch to custom keyboard without come back to default one. It's really annoying.

A way to delete all notes from the notes app at once would be a welcome feature.

I don't really have a list of requirements.

All I really want it to do is work 'out of the box' when installed.

My experience with IOS8 (and Yosemite for that matter) has cured me once and for all of being an 'early adopter'.

Maybe when IOS 9.3 is issued I'll consider it !!

Would love to see some gestures. I like being able to use some Android launchers that allow me to set gestures for something like pulling down the notification shade.

I am constantly reminded of Airplay reliability. Today in one of my classes, every single 8.x iPad Air was having problems. However, the 7.x ones were reliable!

Also, bring back the 7.x layout for selecting a room to play on a Apple TV. It is ludicrous for the 8.x layout to have only 2 Apple Tv's displayed at a time over at least 8 different ones showing with 7.x

My feature guess

Im guessing there will be at least one new feature in continuity, hopefully this one makes the cut:

Copy/Paste between devices

// why?

Many times we need data from one device on another and we have to retype it, or add it in notes and wait for it to sync, or email it to ourselves or whatever, this would just make more sense

// How?
Devices on same apple id detect proximity through wifi/bluetooth/whatever and enable a "Paste From" item in the right click menu, for example "Paste from iPhone", for added security it would probably need to be unlocked to work, which is fine since you probably need it right away and just copied it on the first device in order to paste it immediately on the second

// Bonus Feature guess
Apple pay for sending money between people

// why?
they aren't going to stop at retail, they clearly stated they wanted to eliminate the wallet and what they showed previously was the beginning of it.

How about a stock calculator and weather app for the iPad? I would love to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation in Cupertino when it was decided not to include these for the iPad.

Very good suggestions. It's ridiculous that the iPad doesn't include a calculator... :(

May be more iPhone, but if we are keeping the big home button.....how about using the the sides for gestures ala webOS or soft keys ala Android.

I understand that may be blasphemy here but as phones get wider and bigger things like swipe from left to go back become less useful.

Split screen multitasking on iPad is my number 1 desired feature. Multitasking currently isn't great.

Also the ability to edit files directly in dropbox rather than having to open in another app, edit then reupload, but I understand that might be a dropbox app limitation rather ios? Not sure.

rotation lock tied to Do Not Disturb or a nighttime schedule.

Why?

because iPhone is checked in bed upon waking and sometimes going to sleep. Would make the experience smoother if rotation lock was auto engaged.

Besides speed improvements and all that, I'd love to have the Apple-Watch Jelly fish animation on my lock screen :cool:. And they should finally take advantage of the bigger iPad Screen, but i expect to see that happening anyway, with the release of the bigger screen ipad pro.
