Some semblance of text editing. Right now it's a pain to edit text written in imessage or and of the default apps. How about putting in some arrow keys on the virtual keyboard so you can move your cursor around and edit without needing to resort to simply re-typing everything out again as you can't simply back up and change or edit some letters.

You can edit text already on any iPhone by pressing on the screen until the magnifying circle appears, and there are cursor keys in landscape mode on the 6+.

The main thing I'd love to see is for them to implement Twitterrific's swipe left and right to move one cursor forward and backward. That's honestly one of the best features and it's a shame it's only specific to that app.

I do love the idea of "Hey, Siri" being available without the unecessary component of it being plugged into a power source. I don't plug in my phone every night, and the option of being able to "talk" to it in the morning is appealing. Plus, I like to listen to music, etc., while making breakfast, and it's not plugged in there either. So "Hey, Siri, next track" would be nice.

There is, however, one thing I truly want. One thing that would make ios9 the absolute, hands down, pinnacle of releases. Transparent dock! I hate, with a passion, the weird, translucent dock of the current iteration. I have an image I love as my background, and I hate the bottom portion getting cut off.

You realize this kills the battery right? That's why you have to be plugged in.

The ability to control the direction icons default fill on a page.

I'd like to be able to have, say on my productivity page, new apps I add fill the bottom (reachable) rows with icons first instead of the top. I'd leave the top blank, have my icons right where I need them. This could be done with an option in settings, wouldn't even need a full updated version.

Flat out a better production engine for the stock keyboard, and a split keyboard for 6 Plus.

instead of widgets on lock screen how about notification center as the lock screen

yes a contextually aware iPhone just like apples watch one that turns on with movement to show notifications and such

a smaller better written OS completely rewritten with speed and compactness improvements just make it all lighter

just fix the music app Apple yall know yall can do better

and just unlock the music player at this point customers should be able to listen whatever format they choose

its time for siri to just be what was promised take her out of beta

just lets make iOS 9 so smooth and fast its incredible streamline it as much as possible

Just on the first page of this thread, there are suggestions for some AWESOME improvements that I hope get made! I'd really like to see an API for iMessage.

It would be nice if I could use a 3rd party messaging client but still iMessage. I don't think this will actually happen, though.

I'd also just like to echo the sentiment of more stability / better performance.

Finally, let me change the default apps.

I'm quite aware, yes. It's not a difficult workaround however. Simply make "Hey, Siri" available as a toggle in the control center. That way, say, during breakfast, I can toggle it on, and then turn it off after.

Add a small pop-up giving the user a warning that this feature could lead to drastically decreased battery, and we're good.

the OPTION to "hey siri" without being plugged in. Give me a warning box about battery life if need be, but I REALLY want to be able to just pull out my iphone and "hey siri".

you know you can set it up so Siri activated when you bring the phone to your ear, right?

The ability to stop iMessages or texts while sending

it's called going into Airplane Mode until the message times out.

I dunno - the way Apple does things, if and when they do implement a feature, it's something they are going to want you to leave on by default and use as much as possible. They are not just going to waste time and resources on an "optional" feature that most people are just going to leave off.

Hardware chip needed (like the M chip). It will be on the 6S.

Not really - you can already do it via jailbreaking.

The only thing a second chip would do would just not make it use as much battery, which it already barely does.

iOS 7 unveiled a completely new "white theme". While I do like it a lot, I'd love to have the option of a "black / dark theme".

I think the darker stock keyboard you get is so slick (such as when typing in your password into the AppStore).
