An easy to access guest mode to hand people your device without them being able to see your photos or web search history and other personal things.

My iPad is awesomely customized to me, to the point where I'm weary about handing it off to other people.

  • Gatekeeper (Apple has no business telling me I can't run emulators)
  • Documents app: combines iCloud Drive and local. Is a share target for everything.
  • Dark theme
  • Display auto white balance. Like f.lux but uses the camera instead of time of day. Individual apps (eg. Photos) can override just like how Passbook overrides the brightness.
  • Make Button Shapes look less ugly than the current puke grey.

Looks a lot like my list from last year.

I want to have multiple users like on OS X, so I can have one user set up with my e-mail, address book, etc, and another user set up with games for my kids that doesn't have access to my e-mail etc.

Can't see this happening. Apple still holds onto the personal device philosophy, meaning if you want a controlled environment for your kids on an iPad. You buy them their own and set it up accordingly.

Makes them a shedload of money too.

A dark theme. iOS 7 and 8 is a bit bright at night or has too much contrast when using a black device.

Note sure if it's been said, but how about a working rotation controller?
Since the beginning, devices running iOS 8 have had a tendency to get "stuck" on one orientation even when the phone is rotated. This worked in ios 7

To be able to multitask while listening to visual voicemail. Also when scrolling through iMessage history I'm not a fan of how it zips you back down to the current most recent post as it comes in then you have to try and scroll back to where you were. Make sense to anyone?

I'm quite aware, yes. It's not a difficult workaround however. Simply make "Hey, Siri" available as a toggle in the control center. That way, say, during breakfast, I can toggle it on, and then turn it off after.

Add a small pop-up giving the user a warning that this feature could lead to drastically decreased battery, and we're good.

Jailbreak and install UntetheredHeySiri. You can use Activator to set custom time frames to turn on/off, or do it manually. It's something Apple will never implement.

Problem solved.

Never really cared about widgets before but my list is so short that it could be a fun addition. Let's try it!

Ability to pick different default apps. I prefer to use Things for task lists, Evernote for notes, and CloudMagic for email.

Public transport in Maps. I always use Google Maps, but I'd give Apple Maps another shot if I could get public transportation info.

More international ApplePay and iTunes Radio.

1) Speed/Perf improvement on iPad. How come an iPhone 5C is fast and fluid but an iPad 4 is barely usable? They have the same guts. I've almost stopped using my iPad 4 since iOS 8. I've gone back to my Macbook Air. They transformed my €500, buttery-smooth piece of technology into a paperweight.

2) Better memory management. Kill badly coded apps that suck up the battery in the background. Kill them.

3) Don't send me 3 error messages (1 for Gmail, 1 for Exchange, 1 for iCloud) when I'm using mail.app and I lose connectivity. It's utterly annoying. Also, even when you'll give me 1 error message - don't force me to acknowledge it by tapping OK.

4) How about fixing orientation bugs in iPhone 6 for mail and messages? No, 8.1.3 here and it's still there.

5) Give me an option to opt out of auto full screen in Safari. I want to be able to switch tabs, go back and or open a new one in one tap, at all times.

6) Fix the Appstore bug on the iPad. i.e. I downloaded Tinder on the iPad a year ago, by searching for it and dl-ing it from the app page. Since then, the search field of the app store is always prepopulated with "Tinder" whereas I've been searching for and downloading dozens of apps since then.

7) allow to display 16:9 iPhone apps at 1x on the iPad retina. It's sad to use an iPad Air 2 as a blown up iPhone 4S.

8) bring back the iOS6 clock app. Alarms clock on my iPhone 6 drive me crazy, I can't turn them off easily in the morning when I'm sleepy and grumpy and they shout during my shower, annoying my housemates. My 3GS on iOS6 was way better.

9) give an option to set the quality of voice messages (in the messages.app) to a higher level i.e. voice memo quality.

10) give me an option to directly open documents from an email into an MS Office app. The powerpoint preview is useless in mail.app.

11) let me sort wi-fi networks in order of preference like on the Mac.

Silent text tone alerts when using iPhone. There really is no need for them to go off when I have iphone in hand typing and browsing and it's very annoying to other people when in public say on a bus.

Oh I gotta good one - third party access to quick reply!

I think its there-- I've never seen it before, but yesterday I got a message on Facebook Messenger and bumped it down instead of up to clear it, and it came up just like the text message box with a reply option.

ON/OFF toggle for Personal Hotspot on Control Center.

Can I expand on that? The option for anything in the settings app on control centre, and any app shortcut. That would be good.

Also, I want a redesigned notification centre, with a grid style arrangement of widgets (I'm already getting tired of scrolling through my widgets), a morning view on the lock screen (with a customisable list of things), third-party messaging services on the messages app, and a power saving mode.
