happening to me too on iphone 4 atleast im not alone, might just be alot of people upgrading at once. tried 4 times and still getting the error :(

Backing up is taking forever for everyone else, too, right?

(For the record, I'm on an unjailbroken AT&T 4.3.5 iPhone 4)

JacobC123's did not resolve the problem for me, after creating a new backup, error 3200 sprung up again.

Did someone try redownloading iOS 5 yet? Could be a corrupt download.

So after wasting 30 plus minutes downloading the update and backing up my phone, I have to do it all over again thanks to this error? Really? WTF!

Same thing happening on my wife's iPad 2. Getting error 3200. Tried three times, no luck...

Some users in the Apple Support Communities said that after several tries it worked for them. Maybe its an error on Apple's part?

was trying to fix this problem for like an hour.. until i rebooted my phone and tried again... and it worked :).. try rebooting your phone!

Friend just called.... Said his had 3200 error kept trying and eventually worked...

So it's just servers... Keep trying and it will get through

I had -1303 errors. First tried the tricks about deleting the backup data (I have it on an online backup service if absolutly needed). Found I had to delete the link that I had to move the backup folder to a second drive. That resolved the -1303 error.

then I had 3200. Tried about 6 times with ipad and iphone. Finally unplugged all USB devices I didn't need and plugged the ipad into a back usb port (desktop windows 7 machine). It worked this time!!! Luck? Real solution? Not sure.

I think it's some sort of traffic issue. Millions of people trying to download at the same time. Not to mention it's a heavy update, hence the time it takes to download. :( I think were just gonna have to wait it out. If Steve were here, he'd know what to do. We miss you Steve! :)

Here is the fix for 3200 error.
Go under preferences/device
and delete itunes cache

It will work after that.

i used a different usb cord and it worked. but probably more of waiting it out since now it seems to be working for people
