Well that's the only way.....
Anyways I haven't tried yet as mine is still downloading....
anyone tried this?
From iTunes, go to Edit -> Preferences -> Devices. Select your iPhone and click "Delete Backup". That did the trick for me.
Well, we'll how it goes after she's done backing up for the second time.
EDIT: same damn thing.
My MD5 for my ip4 ( iPhone3,1_5.0_9A334_Restore.ipsw ) ipsw is:
8AC7AE6A7F6FADBD34BA9ABACD15E2DC
Can someone check if your file gives the same md5. At least we'll know that's not the problem.
I'm using this freeware: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/File-Management/MD5-Check.shtml
Mine is 54AA71D20263580653EAFD06064C557C.
I read on another forum that putting the phone in Airplane Mode works.
I tried that, and didn't get the 3200 error. Not sure if that actually resolved the problem, or if it was a coincidence.
If we are talking about the same ipsw file, that's definitely weird.
Where I can found the downloaded ipsw file ???Mine is 54AA71D20263580653EAFD06064C557C.
Update: I rebooted the phone as someone suggested, and now the upgrade seems to have started successfully!
