Anyone know how I can remove this ?

Unless something has changed...

Open bitesms up, at the top, you'll see a gear icon, that is for settings. Tap it.
Scroll all the way down to "More Stuff". Scroll all the way down, and you'll see Application Icon and an option to Hide Messages App.

Hope that helps. ;)

This works. I'm sporting stock icon right now. But it will change to the pink bitesms one if you want.

Thing is, I'm never getting the BiteSMS icon at all. I've tried it on both my phone and ipad. Oh we'll, I can live without it for now.

I've been trying to explain that to him but must be a translation in language barrier or "something"! Lol...

Unless his settings are already set on apple message icon.

There's no "language barrier". I've used BiteSMS for years, so I know how it's supposed to work. And it's just not there. There are no options in the Messages app, and the awful BiteSMS app icon doesn't replace the stock Messages icon. I can't explain why it's not working. I've never had this problem with it before. The only tweak I have installed currently is f.lux, so perhaps I need something else installed to get it working. It's no big deal. I'll just wait for a later release to try again.

It's all good didn't mean anything by it I was just trying to help. Wasn't sure if you were new to jb'ing or not. Many people here at macrumors for 10 years and have never jailbroke an idevice.

I'm stuck with a 5s so patiently waiting for the mobile substrate update but trying to stay active...

Have you gone over to bitemsms forums and checked it out?

No offense taken, my man :)

Looks like another person had a similar problem. I may re-jailbreak and see if that helps.

I know you tried reinstalling bitesms but have you tried reinstalling mobile substrate? That seems to fix these issues too. Unless if course you installed the MS fix from that parrot repo or whatever it's called.
