Hiiiiiiiii @4sallypat - I ABSOLUTELY remember you from the iphone 12 delivery thread. LOL. Aren't we both in Cali? You wound up picking up in store and returning the shipped phone, no? That was a fiasco!!
I wound up returning the M1 MBP (just didn't wow me as I'd hoped and decided to wait for the redesign) and now I'm trying out my first iPad. I'm a dormant artist who has recently gotten back into drawing and thought I'd try out this iPad for its Procreate app. I am hopeful I find that I won't need a laptop (I'm seriously a casual user and have no business owning a MBP) and if I do feel I still need a laptop I'm going to go the Air route. I'm just stoked to check out my first tablet.

If you feel like you need a laptop, you might want to consider buying a Magic Keyboard for the iPad instead of an Air. That's what I did, and now I rarely need my Macbook Pro. Just a thought.

Mine is now officially in Anchorage, AK, and seems on track for a May 21 delivery. Apple also updated my previous range of dates and now lists the 21st. UPS had done this days ago, way before it stopped moving in ZhengZhou, but now everyone seems to be on the same page. Brand new screen protector also arrives on the 21st, so it's looking like iPad party time all weekend.

Chatted with Apple "Specialist" a few mins ago. She said not to worry, it's being prepared to be shipped, and should arrive within the target dates; May 21-27.

I’m strongly considering doing this and I think I will. I have a strong feeling it will be sufficient replacement for the type of user I am. I hope to be surprised! I snagged the 512GB in case it is.
iPad Pro 12.9 inch SG 512GB "on the way" from Louisville to SouthEastern PA. Ordered just after live. Always wonder if it is really on the way or just sitting there in KY. Be great to get it tomorrow. More than likely though Friday.

I used and really like the Tech Armor ballistic screen protectors for my devices. Had it on my iPad Air 2020 and used a friends Apple Pencil on it and worked great.
I'm trying the Glass Elite VisionGuard+. I've done a cheaper Paperlike in the past, but I think it dulls the screen way too much, and I'm not doing that with this one. Hoping the glass-type protector lets the screen show through, and give a little protection and help with fingerprints. Hoping it's not too thick, but we'll see.
Get the UPS app… if you want to be disappointed. It’ll tell you it’s still stuck in KY.
I have and will use the Zagg products. Usually I can get them on pretty good. They do pit or something, but you can get them replaced for the cost of postage. I tried the original version of Paperlike and I did like the texture for the pencil, but not the diffusion of the screen. Best Buy had a deal on the Glass Elite Vidionguard+ for 12.9 ipp at ~$40 which is a good deal. Don’t know if it’s still on; slims the didn’t get mine due to USPS error.
That’s exactly what I got. The same is it shows on the Order Status.
Yeah, I know they are basically having to read off a response fed by the cs dialogs in the computer, so I didn't make much of it. I politely thanked her for looking into it for me and told her I hope she has a good rest of her day.

Just got a notification from UPS. Label was created. Next day air saver. Says my AI package is arriving tomorrow. Can’t see any other details. Do I expect it tomorrow? No. But glad I’m getting some movement. 11” WiFi, original window 21-27th.
