Display controllers on the sides instead of top and bottom? Meaning when in landscape you don't see it as much, but when holding in portrait you do?
It’s to give people a reason to buy iPad mini 7Apple probably sees no issue here.
The “fix” is to give them even more money for a device with better screen technology

Man you guys are putting me off this iPad mini revision. I might cancel my order , or return it. If the issue has not been resolved by mid October.
Fingers crossed the new MacBook Pro screen does not suffer from this issue.
You might want to send it back for one with the amazing new Jelly feature. 💁♂️Don’t notice it on my 6.

I tried it on my iPad mini 5 in landscape and noticed it too.wtf.. you are right… my mini 4 has this in landscape too!
Wow. It’s helpful to see that. When I ran those tests everything was straight. Either iPads can vary a lot or I’ve got a serious vision problem.View attachment 1848598
Here it is side by side with a mini 5.
Same. I’m glad it was pointed out by @wilberforce that this is inherent to LCD panels. It’s definitely noticeable in landscape mode on my Mini 5. However, it’s minor enough where I think I could quickly forget about it. It has never been a problem before (to be fair though, 90% of my usage is in portrait orientation.)I tried it on my iPad mini 5 in landscape and noticed it too.
I checked on my mini 3, and noticed it in both landscape and portrait mode. The jelly effect was worse in landscape mode but better in portrait mode.I tried it on my iPad mini 5 in landscape and noticed it too.
Can you give more info? Like is it rubberbanding? Or just lag? Cuz when I think of jelly I think of rubberbanding for example… you swipe up to open the iPad then in less than a blink of an eye it goes back to the lock screen
Anyone else noticing this? I’ve seen 4 Mini’s today and they all seem to have some lag on the left side of the screen when scrolling through pages in portrait mode. Especially visible on pages with a lot of text and when scrolling up and down. I’ve also checked every other iPad model and to me it only seems to show on the Mini…
