Ordered from apple.com just after the California Streaming event. 256GB Starlight 5G and mine still says "Arrives" with CC not yet charged when I checked few minutes ago.

Just got my order in today.
Pink iPad mini 256 cellular has a delivery window of 01/10 - 07/10.
Dark cherry cover delivers 05/11 - 18/11. That coloured cover seems the most popular as it has the longest delivery dates.
Engraved Apple Pencil arrives 05/10 - 08/10.

Just remember that discounted Apple products from Amazon are generally nonreturnable (unless defective). You don't get Apple's "no questions asked" 14-day return period.
Non-discounted ones are generally returnable, but not necessarily with free return shipping. So read the return policy carefully (which can vary even by color), and need to be sure it is what you want.

Finally ordered mine this morning. I am coming from a regular iPad 6 and was debating between the mini and the iPad 9 for several days, but ultimately decided on the mini because I think I will like the modern design, speed, and portability of it better. Ordered the 64GB Starlight version for delivery this Friday the 24th. Can't wait!

Went to 'Preparing to ship' yesterday at some time, and now says 'Arrives September 24th'. Still trying to figure out how to pay for it.

Serious question: People anxiously awaiting this wonder, What case have you found? I have used Otterbox cases for decades, and they do not mention the Mini 6 on their web site, which seems odd...

I know this is unoriginal, but I went with Apple’s white smart folio. I usually go 3rd party, but it was just easier to order it while I ordered the mini. ?‍♂️

I would have, but the wife refused to take my opinion seriously when she got her iPad a few years ago. 'It doesn't protect the edges, and could result in a cracked screen' Hah, she said, it's better than nothing. Until 'it' happened. It didn't crack the screen, but it did cause road rash on the lower right corner. I'm sure it was close...

I hate to think I'll either have to tempt fate, or not use it before I can get a case. I'd hate to have it fall off the bed, and crack on the floor. That would sting so bad, I wouldn't know what to do... OUCH... OUCH OUCH OUCH...

But they do look nice. I got one for my Pro after having huge issues with the buttons in an Otterbox Defender case, and then just 'field upgraded' the Otterbox case, and all is good. *shrug* I wonder what's up Otterbox's butt, why the silent treatment...

Doing the Goggle found me this case. Interesting, it even has a slot for the pencil...

I’ll be going with a MoKo case from Amazon (available now) and there’s another case I had for my 5 that probably saved the screen when my cousin stood on it. Not around for a 6 as yet though.

Screen protectors seem to be the biggest problem (I don’t want the glass ones.)

That looks pretty nice. Thanks for the heads up...

Another Moko. This one is magnetic and minimal, like the Apple Smart Folio case, and about $40 cheaper. Good news is that the pen solution is more natural.

This type pf case is good for the squared shape of the new Mini. Samsung Galaxy Tabs have these types of cases as does the Ipad.

update: Sold out quick. Should be back in stock soon, as these things go.

So I guess the mini will be shipping from stock in the USA for USA orders? I think we would have seen some shipping notices already if they were coming from China.
im starting to think you're right. i figured they would be coming from china.

Yeah… I waited one day for some silly reason and my Space Grey 256GB Cellular isn’t coming until mid October according to my order ?

Dates slipped last night to mid to late October - when I’m away. Great.

I suppose I should have just ordered at the weekend, as long as the charge hit the card tomorrow (new statement period so full 56 days interest free to pay) I could work with that.

Almost wanting to find that I prefer pink (would have ordered purple) to justify my not robbing savings and ordering earlier.
