I saw that at Best Buy. I'm sure it will do a good job of protecting your iPad Mini but it looked rather large, bulky and felt heavy to me.
The search continues.
I can find rubberized hard shells with no smart cover opening and glossy hard shells with an opening, but nothing I'm looking for

FYI. I ordered this case (have not gotten it yet), but I confirmed with Zagg/iFrogz that the case does not currently support the sleep/wake function, but they will in future batches. Just an FYI in case anyone else ordered this case. Since mine already shipped, I can either return to sender or keep it and they will send a replacement once available.
As for the Joy Factory SmartSuit, I should have that one tomorrow and will post pics of it tomorrow evening.
its not that bad now, c'mon. i want to be able to carry this to work or wherever and not have it beat up. i use a macally w/smart cover at home on my 3 but it stays home. i know if i tried the same combo at work id regret it.
Well, it's probably not a real pic of the finished product. You could always message them and see whats up. I bet it will be closer to the pics of their mini TPU and shell cases that are currently available, but with smart cover compatibility.
Sent them an email. Hopefully they or another company (maybe KaysCase) will get rubberized shells in smart cover colors

Nice, thanks! That's what I'm looking for. Although I'm not yet sure if I like that stripe and it's a little pricy. Doesn't say anything about wake/sleep on their website though.

Just saw the Invellop and might go with this, that looks pretty nice, too. Looks a bit thick though...I guess noone got it yet (says ships 10th on amazon) and could post some pictures?

Depends on your taste. But I saw red on black at the Apple Store, and it looked pretty slick.

Metagamers just posted a first look at the Poetic Slimline case. It looks very similar to the Apple Smart Case for the 9.7" iPads. I had already pre-ordered the Blue and Black, but it was nice to see a video. Should ship around 11/15 and currently is only $4.95 + FREE S/H on Amazon.

I do understand why you, and others, might prefer the Otterbox. It does seem to offer excellent protection. I, personally, would just like something lighter and less bulky. It's nice to have so many choices in iPad Mini cases. There is, indeed, something for everyone out there. Given your pattern of use it makes perfect sense to select the Otterbox

if you owned a company and just got the mini last week, you would not be ready either. That's not how biz works.....look for good stuff in 3 weeks or so...
