I get you Jdolly. Sometimes I like portrait for reading. You're right. the one I have does not leave the back exposed but yes, it does swivel:) Thank you for being kind:) Gives me options. Hope I don't ever need another case.

When I referring to the back being exposed, I was not referring to the case you pictured, but referring to something I see a lot of cases do. I realize how I wrote it made it seem like I was referring to the same case, sorry.

It's a great thing that the iOS devices are so popular because they get the best accessory options. When we have choices, everyone wins.

Has anyone tried the Poetic Dura Book? I like that you can turn it portrait or landscape. Would love feedback if anyone has any. But at $4.95 + free shipping, it won't hurt the wallet too much I suppose. :)

For that price it's a good one. Now there are so many to choose from. I'd get it just because it's purple;) But my blue one will suffice for now. I need to stop looking at these.

Thanks for posting that! I should be receiving mine in a couple hours, I'm pretty excited, and it looks pretty good if the corners fit in pretty well (the picture makes it seem like the corner is a little big for the iPad, hopefully it doesn't slide around in there?).

However, at this point any case will do. This black mini scratches way too easily! I've never scratched any of my previous iPads, but somehow my mini has the tiniest little scratch on one of the corners. Thought I was being careful, but obviously not careful enough.

The mini fits pretty snug. The corners aren't loose at all. My only concern is taking the mini out of the two inside corners to stand it up may cause some wear. Time will tell.

This case is very thin and light weight. It is the lightest case I have seen so far personally

Thanks for the reply. Where did you buy yours? The only place I see this iPad Mini folio is XtremeMac's web site. Unless I missed it somewhere else.

Poetic just postponed the Slimline from "in Stock on 14th" to "in Stock on 19th" :(

In the meantime I asked poetic about the size of the case and here's what they replied:

Dear Buyer,

Thank you for your interest in our products. The case itself is 15cm wide, 22cm in height, and about 1.5 cm deep. Hope this helps!

alex from Poetic

I have no experience with iPad cases, but somehow I really doubt that the case is 1cm!! bigger than the iPad on each side?!:confused:

$8 shipped. exactly what I wanted:

I ordered the slimline and amazon says it shipped on 13th. I'll post some pics when it gets here.

I'm searching (to no avail, thus far) for a case similar to the wallet cases for the iPhone (book book, navor, etc.). I can see using my mini in place of my phone in EVERY situation (since I HARDLY use it for its' phone capabilities ANYWAY), so a case such as this would be IDEAL. Has anyone come across anything similar?

One of these might be what you are looking for.

Thank you, Jedolley! I'm already a fan of Portenzo--I utilized one of their cases for my 1st gen iPad. I wasn't clear in my post, which I apologize for--I'm interested in a kind of oversized wallet--complete with slots for credit cards, bills, etc. One of THESE would be ideal.

Looks like they made one big opening for the speakers and lightning port on the bottom of the iPad. That will probably lead to being annoyed by that one thin piece that goes across that area just under the home button. That's how it is on the i-Blason SoftGel Flexible Semi-Transparent TPU Case that I bought from amazon. I returned it right away because of that loose/stretchy piece.

I ordered the Incipio NGP because they designed it with three separate openings for the speakers and port.

Where can you purchase the xtrememac micro folio online, I don't seem to see an option to add it to the shopping cart on their website.

I just got the extreme Mac micro folio. It's very thin and fits very well.

My Devicewear Ridge case came in and it's just about perfect. It's kind of scary how similar it is to the Speck FitFolio... The faux leather is similar feel and texture and the only visual differences is that the Devicewear does not have the clasp and it covers the whole back. I'll try to take pic tomorrow when my lighting is better.

The clasp was a love/hate feature on the Speck for me, and i'm glad the Devicewear does not have it nor does it need it since the magnets are doing a great job keeping the cover closed. Just like the Metagamers review, I am having a hard time to find anything negative about the case. I like it so much I have yet to open the packages of the Poetic cases I got today as well. :D

Hey,
I was wondering. In all those clip in cases, does that leave scratches after some time of frequent in and out of the case? (maybe from previous experience with big iPads)
