Yoobao Executive case for iPad mini

"He who shall not be named" has the Yoobao Executive case for the iPad mini listed on his site for $27.99. I figured there might be some people interested considering the history of this case for the other iPads.

Hi,
I am looking for a vers light weight case, which actually protects the front and the back.
I am thinking about something like 2-4 oz.
Is there anybody who could actually tell me the weight of his/her case?
That would be really great.
Thanks!

Anyone tried bodyguardz rindz? I know it's just a skin but I'm looking at something lightweight to prevent scratches with the use of Smart Cover

I don't know if anyone has seen this case. I originally ordered it around the time I pre-ordered the mini for $3.99 (Has since been raised to $9.99). It currently does not have the slee/wake feature, but like other cases, a replacement will be sent once completed.

The case is pretty nice considering the price.

Close up to show the pattern/texture. It's more of a dark gray than the black that is pictured here.

The cutouts are OK, but I wish there was alittle more coverage.

Stand modes are sturdy and work well.

Overall, I'm like this more than the Speck FitFolio and JoyFactory SmartSuit, but will reserve final judgement to when I get the replacement with the sleep/wake function.

I ordered this last night. How do I request for them to send me a replacement once its ready?

Ordered this one, should be here tomorrow. Looks pretty nice, supports sleep/wake, and was less than $7.

I also just ordered the Poetic SlimLine, that one looks nice as well, and for $5 you can't pass it up. Thanks for the tip guys!

I just received the Moko Slim-Fit and the Moko Ultra Slim from Amazon. I like the Slim-Fit and it's a great deal for the price. I'm not too thrilled with the Ultra Slim, but my husband likes it. The sleep/wake function works on both cases.

May I ask what you don't like about the Moko ultra slim? I'm debating between that one and the slim fit as my replacement cases and I am having a hard time deciding. Is the ultra slim much lighter than the slim fit? Also, how do the two different stands compare?

Thanks.

The ultra slim is much lighter than the slim fit. The thing I don't like about the ultra slim is that the cover is a bit stiff and it won't hold together. When I try to position the mini in it, the only position it will stay in is standing up. There are no magnets that make it stick together like the smart cover nor does it stick to the back.

My husband likes it because it doesn't add bulk and it has more of a grippy feeling to it. It's not a bad case for the money and the sleep/wake function works.

I just got the extreme Mac micro folio. It's very thin and fits very well.

Looks great! I like that it's thin and doesn't seem to add significant bulk. What about the (added) weight? I've been looking for a thin, light weight folio that doesn't add much bulk or weight to my svelte iPad Mini.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll probably order a couple tomorrow (one for my Mom). That's exactly what I want. This is really the first one in this style that looks promising.

So I went ahead and ordered two Incipio NGPs (grey and pink) from MacMall. I'll post back my impressions once I receive them.

Thanks for posting that! I should be receiving mine in a couple hours, I'm pretty excited, and it looks pretty good if the corners fit in pretty well (the picture makes it seem like the corner is a little big for the iPad, hopefully it doesn't slide around in there?).

However, at this point any case will do. This black mini scratches way too easily! I've never scratched any of my previous iPads, but somehow my mini has the tiniest little scratch on one of the corners. Thought I was being careful, but obviously not careful enough.

This case is very thin and light weight. It is the lightest case I have seen so far personally

oh i like that one a lot. I already have a smart cover but I'm lusting after one of these. Lots of nice colors too.

those both look like nice cases. I showed someone the link so they can get the 1.95 one for their son. At least when the one i have gets dirty, good to know there are plenty around that don't cost a limb to keep my baby secure and looking good.

Devicewear is taking pre-orders for their iPad mini Ridge case. Site shows it for $39.95, but there is a pre-order coupon available that takes 50% off, 50OFFMINI (Until 11/17).

I'm thinking that I like this style folio case more than say the Smart Case like folios, or folios similar to the iPad 1 design. If anyone has spotted a similarly designed case on Amazon please point it out to me, specially the ones that snap in and have the back completely covered.

Metagamers posted review of this case.

I'm glad to see that it appears to be what I was looking for. I also feel that the Ridge is what the Speck FitFolio should have been, but failed.

For that price what about a portrait view? I like what I have for less:)

I guess thats why there are choices. Personally I don't like cases that swivel for portrait. If I have the iPad in portrait then it's probably in my hand. I also do not like cases that expose the back to accomplish the stand feature.

Don't get me wrong, there are some nice cheap Amazon/Ebay cases out there, but I also think $20 is a really good price for the Devicewear case. Especially considering it's similar to the Speck FitFolio that is $35 and it's better in many (if not all) ways.
