As an owner of an iPad Pro 11' - one would actually have to try to bend their tablet. I've taken mine in and out of several cases, with enough force I was worried about bending it, it did not bend (I keep going back and forth between a Spigen case with no flap vs the Apple case).

And yes, I've used my iPad in the sun -- I have an iCarez Matte screen protector that makes reading outside easier. (I use it mostly for the pencil tho).

Apple's generous replacement policy and publicity that one gets with "Apple is crap and has crap devices" encourages a lot of this behavior mainly because the overwhelmingly VAST majority of users have no problem - it drives views and clicks.

I absolutely carry my iPad with me everywhere (it's a Cellular iPad) - and loving it. I've finished several books on it (got it in February) - I'm looking forward to many many years of heavy usage with this thing. It is my most used Apple device.

Best of luck trying to find blame for a bent iPad.

cut the crap, man it’ s pathetic. You told as 100000 before. We are all idiots. We buy apple products to sit on them. Ipad Pro has the same aluminium like Iphone 6. Iphone 6S 7000 aluminum. Google it before ! ;) Tons of bent Iphone 6 and Ipad Pro videos on yt but you still pretentd nothing.

My 2 cents...if apple will launch sand you will buy it first.

I never did “pretend nothing”. I never denied that there are bent iPad’s.

I expressly stated that they did not sit on a table and bend on their own. At some point the owner of the device applied force in some manner and THAT bent the iPad. Very, very, simple.

You are wrong ! My Ipad was on a desk from Friday to Sunday. I've used it for hours and it was very hot. I put it down and left for the weekend. You can't deny the hundreds of cases on the internet. Being blind it's terrible. Stop defending Apple. It's no sense.

I 'put on my gloves' when i use my Apple products but excepting AW and Iphone 5 all had a problem.

Macbook pro- dead pixels
Ipad Pro/Ip 6 bent - bent and bright spot
Iphone 7 spots on the back
Iphone Xr - brown shadow on the screen( burn in)

Don't tell me the pathetic argument YOU USE IT WRONG. WE HAVE AN APP FOR THAT.

One could assume that a phone is meant to be sat on in the back pocket but is an iPad meant to be sat on? Perhaps people use them as chair cushions? If so then maybe it should be able to support the weight of a person 🤷‍♂️

I had an iPad Pro 12.9” that had a slight curvature to it out of the box. Nothing extreme but very noticeable if you lined up the speaker holes behind each other you could see they weren’t straight and about 2 degrees askew.

It didn’t affect performance for me afaik and I really didn’t give it much thought.

No, when the device is bent it is definitely not normal or acceptable (even while it doesn't affect performance).

It doesn't matter whether it affects the performance or not. Heavily scratched iPad, even while performance is not affected, is not acceptable too.

Are you saying that it is Apples fault also if someone’s iPad gets scratched?

Then there is no reason to make the statement. What would be the point in making a statement about something that literally doesn't happen?
There have been copious reports, on this site, of exactly that happening to a variety of Apple products. In general, the point is that Apple isn’t perfect. Throughout this thread, however, you seem to be arguing otherwise.

You just got done saying, and I quote, ”Didn’t say there was”, when I asked if there were instances of iPads being scratched out of the box. Now you are saying “There have been copious reports” of exactly that which you just denied. This is insanity. I’m out.

Seems like you have some very bad luck bud.

Didn't say it was normal. I just didn't give a rat's a$$ about a minute curvature that didn't hurt performance.

Did I love the fact that it wasn't perceived perfect? No. Just not going to lose my mind over it and pout.

Just because something fits into my back pocket doesn’t automatically mean I can rest my body weight on it. Electronics especially.

No, I mean it's not acceptable that iPad is bent and it's not acceptable that it's scratched. Whose fault is it that's another question.

I don't think guys it's the case for the iPad. It just gets bent by itself. Also in may cases it's bent right out of the store. It's definitely not a problem of people bending the electronics. It's a problem on the manufacturing level.

It boggles my mind how people are getting their iPads bent ... I’ve had my iPad since February and no issues at all with bending, even with it being in a sleeve with other things on top of it and traveling with it back when we were able to travel out of state ... it’s still brand new. I don’t necessarily baby my iPad, but I don’t go all rough on it either. I use it like I’m supposed to - an expensive electronic device. I keep it out of situations where it COULD get bent so it doesn’t get bent. Electronics don’t bend or break by themselves. Something has to happen to them for that to occur.

It's not like people bend their devices.

Bending problem doesn't happen to everybody. You seem to be lucky! It's a manufacturing defect that affects some people. It's a lottery - like other hardware issues with Apple. If you're lucky you get a great fully working device. If you're unlucky (like me) you spend your time exchanging devices with Apple and living with hardware problems (and there are many).

The worst part of it that Apple doesn't publicly admit those issues until they face a class action suit.
