I only had the iPad Pro for a few days, and it's already bent!! I received it last Friday (which was a nice surprise) and this morning I noticed how it had a bend in it. Anyone else with this problem?

(just wanted to add that this is from normal use at home, never put it in a bag or did anything unusual to it)

Wow that looks pretty bent indeed. My iPad Pro 10.5 is 6 months old and there is no sign of being bent and I carry it with me everywhere with Smart Keyboard only.

No I’m just wondering what your post means. As you obviously had no time to proofread it.

That is sad as it seems the others knew exactly what I ment. Was even quoted and the other posters seemed to be able to work through this.

I am thinking you are just trying to make an argument. Not interested but glad you have never missed a typo.

Have a great “Saturday”!

Way to own your typos.

You don't just make a claim that *something happened*? Something that you can't explain? You OWN it? Really? Seems you think it does, but ONLY if it happens to you:

"*poof* it's scrubbed clean!"
Just take ownership. You erased it.

I'm honored you took so much time to check out my past posts.

I posted that because I remember another post about a driver issue that wiped, or appeared to wipe, a hard drive. I had a lot of priceless MacGodess artifacts on that drive. I think I would have remembered wiping it myself.

But that's from December. That took some time to dig up. Hmm...

It wasn’t that hard actually. I just tapped your username, posts started by you, and that was the third from the top. Took me a minute max.

BTW, I posted on this thread because I, similar to what you posted above, remembered a post about iPads that had an unexplained bend, or appeared to bend without a known reason. I had, actually still do, a lot invested in it including protective cases. I think I would have remembered sitting on it, dropping it or bending it myself.

The parallels are striking yet you mock me and others like me.

I just keep thinking that out of all of the many many many years humans have used aluminum for so many various uses that no one has ever reported aluminum spontaneously warping without undergoing intense heat that would have caused a huge fire. That's all I'm saying.

Pans, engines, airplane parts, on and on... And an iPad is somehow The Device to prove it all wrong? How come iMacs aren't warping? They usually have much more heat than an iPad. Who has reported their iMac tacoing?

Did you carry it in a bag? Do you have kids who had access to it while you were away? Do you have massive back pockets and accidentally sat on it?

Thank you!

I have owned something close to 10 iPads, and have NEVER had one warp. Ever. The girl has owned at least 5, and currently has a first gen iPad Pro. Nothing is warping. Given the numbers, I'm either 'average', or damn lucky that Uri Geller hasn't been in the area to warp my collection!

Now, IF one of them just spontaneously warps, I'll be a believer, but I'd think that I'd know if the wife/kid/dog/MIL sat on it. My coach has a praise: 'Own your poop', which has a word that starts with an 's' and ends in a 't'.

I owned the destruction of my iPod Classic. I grieve to this day that I killed it. I miss that iPod as it had the largest capacity I'd have right now, and it's not available any longer. Life sucks. It has that tendency. Breath in, breath out, move on...

Had the same issue recently. Took it to the Apple Store and the genius made it sound like it wasn’t the first one he’d seen. They replaced it but told me it technically is an out of warranty repair. I had opened the iPad the day before. I did not have AC+.

You had to have done something to have it bend like that. An iPad doesn't simply bend like that on it's own.
