;) totally just kidding. That is never fun. But you'll get a new one and the chances of it having the same issues are not very high at all.

I only had the iPad Pro for a few days, and it's already bent!! I received it last Friday (which was a nice surprise) and this morning I noticed how it had a bend in it. Anyone else with this problem?

(just wanted to add that this is from normal use at home, never put it in a bag or did anything unusual to it)
[doublepost=1544074782][/doublepost]My daughter’s new ipad is bent like that and she insisted that she didn’t sit on it. We only bought it 10 days ago.
The apple shop refused to replace it.
My question is if the force was so strong in order to bent the mental, and how come the glass the top didn’t break?

Im very disappointed with the design choices made for this years model. I used it for less than a week and the lightness of it felt more disconcerting then it did comfortable. It really needs to undergo a 6 to 6s design revision.

So far what I've read about and seen from personal experience.

1. Weak Aluminum warping during or after production.
2. Not one, but two points of failure which can lead to bending. (The Mic in on the left and the Pencil charger)
3. Thinner Glass
4. No Headphone Jack
5. Good Old iPhone 5 wobbly buttons. (Yes my unit had them)

I was looking forward to it but I was left highly unimpressed. I actually returned mine and repurchased a 10.5.

You are wrong guys! Never ever sat on my ipad! Apple sucks with all their materials ! After 2 years of heavy usage it works perfectly but even the new ipad has this problem. Don’t use it in high temperatures.

That iPad didn't bend on its own. It wasn't just sitting on a table and, poof, bent. That's just silly.

You know it better than me:)) touche. My old Iphone 6 had the same problem but near the volume buttons. Accept that Apple is rubbish since 2011. There are a lot of cases like mine. Use it in the sun, or in an app like imovie for hours and u will have the same result.

You have two options, 1)Take better care of your technology, or, 2)Quit buying and blaming Apple for not doing number 1. If you buy another brands products, again, go back to step one.

They could have strengthened up the chassis by adding some steel, or even aluminum strips to the inside. Even a couple thin steel rods would have worked wonders to protect against flexing.

The idea that such a large thin thing wouldn't flex is daft. Making such a large thin thing and not adding strength members to help guard against flexing is just stupid. Two .5mm (or thinner) steel bars run up the sides, or even thinner steel plates with holes for the feature no one uses, would have gone so much farther in beefing up the construction. Not having anything in the case/chassis to strengthen it from bending is almost acknowledging that it will bend, and denying reality. (They were relying on the perceived strength of their aluminum, but aluminum isn't really all that strong unless it's special alloys, and even then, there are drawbacks. I'm surprised they didn't make a ceramic iPad, but that would have been a disaster due to ceramics having a grain, and they would have hundres/thousands of ceramic iPads cracking and breaking)

It's bad design. It's engineered to be something people carry like a royal crown, and handle with silk gloves, and dare not breath on it for fear it will be damaged, it wasn't designed with reality in mind. But engineering seems to be at a minimum at Apple. Go for thin. THIN THIN THIN, and then when they have that, its LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT! It's like an anorexic obsession...

Agree, but more people can't understand that Apple tries to produce expensive Ipads with cheaper materials. It's a crap.

You just look silly trying to blame Apple for your own actions bending your iPad. There are LITERALLY millions of people that use their Apple products everyday and NEVER experience what you and the handful of people in this thread assert that they have experienced. Look, I get it, it’s easier to blame something on Apple than admit that you were stupid and sat on your iPad. Still, all it gets you is a bent iPad. Like I said earlier, learn to take responsibility for your own actions and things will get better. Or, continue to blame things in your life on other people and keep getting what you get. Enjoy your bent iPad. ;)
Yeah, and Apple RE-designed and built the 6S Plus, which otherwise looked identical to the 6 Plus, just for fun?

Maybe some things ARE Apple’s fault.

I thought we were talking about the iPad Pro?!?! Regardless, I had the 6 Plus. Owned it for two years. So did my wife. Guess what? In two years neither of them were bent. But, we didn’t sit on them. ;)

cut the crap, man it’ s pathetic. You told as 100000 before. We are all idiots. We buy apple products to sit on them. Ipad Pro has the same aluminium like Iphone 6. Iphone 6S 7000 aluminum. Google it before ! ;) Tons of bent Iphone 6 and Ipad Pro videos on yt but you still pretentd nothing.

My 2 cents...if apple will launch sand you will buy it first.

The answer to this entire thread is, "Don't sit on your iPad".

Or maybe “Leave assumptions at the door”.

Temperatures certainly are not bending it.

It bends because they drilled 3 holes in the side of it for a feature most users don't want.

Ah, more and more assumptions.
