This iPad pro torture test shows how tough a pro is.

Wrong axis. There's a gap between the two batteries lengthwise that seems to be the weak spot and where the bending seems to be occurring.

Who knows what bent it? Only the OP and immediate associates.

All I'll say is I bought first generation Unibody MBP back in 2008.

The batteries were the removable types back then. After about a year or so, I noticed the trackpad being very difficult to press/click in the lower "soft" areas and made it almost unusable.

At the same time, the battery compartment cover wasn't sitting flush with the MBP's body. It was bent outward a couple of millimeters and very noticeable.

I inspected the battery and sure enough, there was a very profound bulge in the center of the battery, which would have say directly under the trackpad. A normal battery would lay flat on a table and not tilt or wobble. My battery was able to be spun like a top because of the bulge.

The battery didn't bend the Unibody frame, but definitely can exert more force than I expected.

Apple exchanged the battery even though it was out of warranty and said they had never seen anything like this before. But over the course of the next couple of years I talked to numerous 2008/2009 MBP owners who experienced at least noticeable minor swelling with the removable batteries.

If the OP's iPP is experiencing a similar issue, I hope it is very isolated.

iPads dont bend themselves without forces applied. If you believe so you need to go back to high school physics class because you clearly failed it.

Even if you heated it with a heat gun up to 150F is wouldn't bend on it's own from heat without force. 7000 series aluminum doesnt melt until NINE HUNDRED TO OVER ONE THOUSAND DEGREES http://asm.matweb.com/search/SpecificMaterial.asp?bassnum=MA7050T745.

Even a bath in 212F boiling water would not make it anywhere near soft enough to bend on it's own.

Complete BS iPads bend on their own without user damage. Irresponsible users who don't want to take responsibility for them damaging their expensive devices.

I carry my iPP in a backpack that is STUFFED with books and binders... It actually has a ton of weight on it... and no issues so far.

No way this "bent itself"

There's more to this story than we are being told. I've thrown mine in my backpack since day one and have had no issues. I get these same stories from employees when they drop their iPhone and say they have no idea what happened. I've literally been told they woke up and it was damaged. Really? COMPLETE BS.
The fire of his mixtape made it maluable!!!!!! Curse these quad speakers

Nope, nothing like it. We don't have kids or pets. It has only been used in the office or on the couch. Haven't even tried to put a cover on because there are none available in NZ yet.

Covers are available in NZ just order on from Apple on line store.

You can bend the iPad straight I have down this with my iPad Air 2 when I sat on it. Just do it slowly with pressure.

This happened to my late 2007 MBP, too.

Please let this stupid thread die!!!
This thread has stretched to what I would consider past it's useful period. iPads don't bend due to the ghost of Steve hating the stylus or whatever. I believe it's fair to say beta threads would be closed well before this point, unless the OP would like to offer an explanation.

That was a special edition iPad Pro gift set. This DVD was included in the package:

I forgot, Apple products magically bend when nobody is looking. It's the Toy Story spinoff, iStory: The heroic tale of self-bending iDevices.

I only had the iPad Pro for a few days, and it's already bent!! I received it last Friday (which was a nice surprise) and this morning I noticed how it had a bend in it. Anyone else with this problem?

(just wanted to add that this is from normal use at home, never put it in a bag or did anything unusual to it)[/QUOTE

I had the EXACT same problem, and still do. I contacted Apple support today to see what they could do for me and after a little bit of waiting I have an appointment at the Apple Store next week to either get it repaired or replaced depending on what they can do and it is going to be at no cost to me. I think they are going off the assumption that is some sort of manufacturing issue because they are doing it no questions asked. I highly suggest ou contact Apple support!

When I first got my IPad Pro (one of the first to get them around here) I immediately put it in a Logitech CREATE keyboard case (which was the only one available without a 3 month wait for the apple Smart Cover). Last week, I took it out of the case to clean it and noticed a bend in the top. It's not as pronounced as the bend you have and its at the top, not the bottom. But it is very clearly bent however it doesn't seem to affect the operation of the iPad at all.

Are you saying the Logitech keyboard case caused to iPad to be bent? Did you use force getting it to fit the case?

At this point I'm not exactly sure what caused it to bend, I know that the Logitech case was extremely tight and clipped along the NON smart-out side of the iPad.
