iPad Pro iPad Pro Shipping Delays

Yup Apple is having some pretty bad delays and long ship time frames. Guessing because of COVID-19.

Ordered a IPP 11" 128GB SG on 4/18. Promised DD of 4/24-4/28. Apple has always been good on delivering the earliest date promised or even a day before. First time experiencing delay. Finally got tracking info today and Apple is stating "Delivers May 05, 2020 by Next Day Shipping", but UPS tracking is showing delivery on 4/29 and it's coming out from China. So not sure but it's def past the promised DD when I ordered it.
 
second the idea of buying from Best Buy. Just ordered mine on Friday and it arrives Tuesday. Apple clearly is having issues with inventory as delivery times on its site are pretty long right now.

I would suggest caution with Best Buy. I went on the web site. Delivery was quick, bot only for WiFi version. May 30 for Verizon cellular. Later for that.

I have a very similar situation, too.
Order an IPP 12" 128GB SG on 4/20. Promised DD of 4/24-4/28. It shipped on 4/27, from China. Apple now says the DD is 5/5 and UPS says the DD is 5/1

Mine is changed like that too. Ordered on April 17th, finally shipped but it’s in China
Apple says May 6
UPS says May 1

How hard is it to ship an iPad to north America?
 
Order a 11" over the weekend from Costco. Maybe getting in by May 12th.....

carriers are also prioritizing needed medical supplies which can cause delays in shipping Of non-medical supplies.

Tons of delays going on and indeed frustrating. I resell products from China and my restock inventory was held up at the FedEx hub for a solid 2 weeks before it got on a plane to the US.

Still playing with my imaginary iPad Pro on day 31.

Boring update is down below.
Well day 7 of the investigation was Monday, May 4th. So I call AT&T to see if there are any updates about my iPP. After being on the phone for an hour and a half, with the same CSR (nice and helpful), discovered back on 4/23 when I called before, AT&T denied the claim to ship another iPP. Plus they never cancelled the installment plan (IP) and returned my sales tax I paid. So the CSR sent in a request for the IP to be cancelled (can take up to three days) and I’ll get credit for the one payment of the IP and sales tax. CSR said I will have to go back to the store to reorder the iPP and pay sales tax, okay no problem. CSR put a lot of notes on my account, so when I go to the store they will know what’s going on.

Well I go to the store later on the same day and the store manager tells me that he can’t add a new IP until the old one is taken off.

This is BS, I have never had an issue like this with other companies that had shipments lost before.
 
Not from the US but also have problem with shipping in Poland.

Ordered iPP 12" SG 256GB, magic keyboard and Pencil on May 12th. Pencil arrived on 15th. DD for iPP was May 21-26, keyboard May 29th - June 8th. Yesterday they updated DD of iPP for June 4-10th which is even longer than dates they currently promise on their sites.

I don't remember agreeing to this. They at least should stay true to what they promise. Suddenly asking to wait 2 more weeks...
 
i ordered my ipp 12.9 on 4/21 and got it 5/1. i noticed that it shipped directly from china which i thought was weird.

Same here. Have you already received the package? It's been almost a month since I ordered my iPP and it still says processing.

I ordered a second IPP the other day and the ship date is not until Jun 26! When I got one last March right when it was announced, I got it in about a week.
 
Well, having read the last few posts 10 minutes ago I’ve just cancelled my order with Apple for a 12.9” IPP & Magic Keyboard. I ordered 3 days ago and it was still in processing with an estimated delivery of 30th June.

Just ordered them from Currys PC World here in the UK. They’ll be with me this Friday AM.

It’s cost me 1,400 air miles, but I can live with that. Looks like big delays from Apple.

When I ordered it said it would arrive ~June 25

Updated now saying will arrive 16th. It did sit for 7 days at processing though before finally shipping.

I couldn't cancel LOL - with all the promotions that weekend I ordered I get 33,000 Aeromiles 🤣 It's like paying $33,000 for the iPad, but not haha.

The release week would have been stock built ahead of release day. Now it looks like demand is outstripping supply, which of course is a challenge during covid. Apple are selling these faster than they can make them!

I have ordered an IPP 2020 128gb.
I bought it on 1.st of June and it should arrive at 24 june- 1 july. Like why? And the IPP is still processing... And it is 25 of june. Apple made a big big big oppsss.
 
I just took plunge on iPad Pro 12.9. Wait time is over a month. Would have just bought elsewhere but can't get the education discount. I get free Airpods as well which I may just sell (already have a pair) to try to make up for the month wait. I kept hoping the estimated shipping date would change which ultimately added a week onto the shipping time. Alas.
 
Ordered the iPad Pro 11 and Apple pencil, been waiting since the 22nd of June and both are stuck in processing with no sign of them arriving any time soon. Very frustrating when you spend so much money to be made to wait months for it.. I would have ordered from somewhere else but needed the education discount.
Has anyone who ordered an iPad Pro and experienced the delay now received it? How long did it take, was it longer than the given delivery date?
 
I just went to order an iPad Pro from Apple and it's quoting 3-4 weeks for shipping on all configurations. Either there's an update in the works or they are just constrained on shipping from China (or their US inventory is trapped in closed retail stores). Even the Apple Pencil 2 is 2-3 weeks to ship. The same models at the same price are in stock at B&H (but out of stock at Best Buy).
 
I am glad I never ordered a new iPad anytime soon. My thinking of ordering a new one must of rubbed off on other people here!

My older model iPad is fine for watching 4k movies and tv shows!

Plus having 2 TB of space for all my media does wonders. I can take it everywhere I go!
