Interesting. I read an article this past weekend about just that subject. I was a bit surprised that demand for Rolex watches was exceeding supply given current economic circumstances for many right now. I bought one Rolex 20 years ago....the ex-wife still has it.
Also waiting in Anchorage with a delivery date for Friday! Just of little bit longer and we'll finally get our iPads 😄

Just realized today is September 2 and I only have to wait 16 to 23 days for my iPad Pro WOOOOOOOO 🤯 Since I ordered on August 18, its still on processing mode 🥺 has anyone here gotten their iPads earlier than expected?
If you have Best Buy where you live and there are ipads in stock. You can order through them and get it way earlier. Yesterday I canceled my Apple order (placed on August 13) and ordered through Best buy and my iPad is getting to me tomorrow! (just got the origin scan) Unless you used the education discount and want the airpods, then stick with Apple. I hope waiting goes by quickly for you!
I am thinking about placing an order today for IPP 11 128 Wifi, no engrave. The expected date is Sep 25-Oct 2...
Do you normally see it gets delivered by these date? I read some and it seems it gets there by earliest date ... maybe I am too optimistic.
Someone ordered in mid of Aug seems to have Sep 25 as expected date as well...does the date shift recently?

The delivery dates by Apple are pretty accurate. Usually if you were to order your delivery dates would probably be Oct 2-9 but it seems like they're shifting to a week earlier. I could be wrong though~

Does anyone know how accurate UPS is? My scheduled delivery for my pencil is supposedly today by 9 pm. It's currently 7 pm and I have not gotten any updates past label created/order processed. According to Apple, it supposed to get here tomorrow, I'm not upset or discouraged since that's when it originally is supposed to be delivered.
But it just puzzles me that UPS says scheduled delivery is today when there have been no updates. Anybody have an idea or think it will be delivered with in the next 2 hours? I will get a bit worried if there are no updates by mid-day-ish tomorrow.
P.S. It's shipping from 1 hr and 30 mins away from me if that matters. (yes..I'm so anxious I looked it up)

When you click on the UPS Website, and go to “Tracking Details”, is it in your City? It should be in your City in the Morning to be delivered the same Day.

This is all it says. It hasn't updated past that last night and all day. While my iPad was shipped this morning and has had 3 updates (ofc its coming from somewhere else. But still). I just feel like there should've been at least an origin scan if they plan to deliver within the next 1 hr and 15 min haha. Again not mad or anything just confused.
If the scan data is correct, UPS has not even picked the package up yet.
Unfortunately, that is what I believe. After talking to Apple they say they're working with UPS on getting the package to me as soon as possible. It just confuses me that UPS would say the scheduled delivery was 09.02 before even receiving the package. My hope is that because it is shipping from a place only an hour and 30 minutes away, I will receive an update of some sort by today (09.03) (hopefully mid-day) and that it will actually be delivered by the end of the day.
Otherwise, if it doesn't I will ask Apple again if I can pick up in-store the next day instead (but it sounded like I couldn't when asking tonight, but also didn't get a straight answer). And then for the final step, I would probably file a claim with UPS if I don't get any sort of update regarding delivery time or progress.
I just want to get my pencil in time with my iPad so I can take notes for class...I wish UPS was better at updating their tracking.
I think UPS initially had the scheduled delivery at 9/2 because they expected to get the package on 9/1. Either your package has been delayed leaving the warehouse or UPS has picked it up but hasn’t scanned it into their system yet for whatever reason.
If you want to file a claim with UPS, I think you will have to do it through Apple since they bear the responsibility for any issues with shipping (e.g. lost/stolen or damaged package).
Thank you for this. For some reason it makes me feel a little bit better haha. We will see what happens tomorrow and hopefully I receive it. On a better note, my Ipads last update was an arrival scan in Kentucky, I hope nothing between when it arrived and tomorrow happens and I at least get my iPad haha.
EDIT: I wonder if they do have it and didn't scan it because Apple scheduled it for today (09.03) and they had more pressing packages to get out. So they were just like "let's 'schedule' it for tomorrow, but if it doesn't get out, they can wait to the expected" haha. And they just didn't update their systems and the website automatically sends a "file a claim" option if it gets passed the scheduled day/time.
UPDATE: Just got an origin scan on my pencil and is scheduled for tomorrow by 9 pm.

As far as I know, UPS doesn’t go by what Apple says. They go by their own schedule after they’ve picked up the package and typically deliver on or before the date given by Apple once it’s shipped.
My iPad was delayed by one day after it was unable to be loaded onto the plane in Louisville as scheduled the morning it was supposed to be delivered. Ironically, I posted the night before that I was hoping something like that better not happen, yet it somehow did, against all odds haha.
I hope you receive your iPad (and Pencil) soon! It’s truly an amazing piece of tech and fully lives up to its hefty price tag.
My iPad is supposed to come in today (I’m so excited) and I’ve been following my order on UPS like crazy. But I got this notification it’s in KY while I’m in the DC area.

Those magic words have appeared on my UPS tracking - out for delivery! Today is the day, I can't wait! I'm replacing an iPad Air 2 that was a gift from a client years ago, and so is very special to me, but I'm sure it won't mind being put into semi-retirement.
