I would be getting a little worried since you are approaching the middle of your delivery date range and you are still “processing”. It might be worth it to call Apple to see if there are any problems.
The fact that you're already in your delivery window with your order still processing likely means it will be shipping from a warehouse instead of from China. So it would take a lot less time to arrive once dispatched. I think there's a good chance you'll see some movement in the next day or two.

Wow! My order date was 9/1 and my DD was 10/02-10/04. But a few days ago I ordered through Best Buy and it’ll be here tomorrow. So I’ll be canceling my apple order soon as I inspect my BB order.

Unfortunately that’s what happened to my iPad. It awaited USPS from Saturday until Monday at 10pm. 😒 I thought it was just lagging or they didn’t scan. NOPE! Hopefully you have more luck than I did.
That "awaiting item" status with USPS drives me crazy. Often from Amazon that's the status I see until the day of delivery when it's "out for delivery". Really, USPS, nothing in between, reeeaaallly???
It should show movement overnight. I’ll go out on a limb and say you’ll likely receive it Friday (or Saturday at the latest 🤯).

I feel like this thread was poppin’ a few days ago, and now it’s not been as talkative. Everyone is enjoying their new iPads... except me. 🤣 Tomorrow can’t come soon enough. I’m not sure if it’ll really be here tomorrow though. It’s in PA and I’m in KY. 🥺
Yeah, many of them have gotten their iPads now. But, another thing is probably because there are people from several different time zones. When we’re up, they’re asleep, and vice versa. Plus, there’s the people who have to go to work early, so they go to bed earlier. We’re still here for them, though. I hope you get your iPad tomorrow, but don’t be a stranger! 😊
