Airplane mode. Not helping me as of right now. I watched 2 short YouTube how-to videos and maybe 25 minutes of web surfing, and Iā€™m at 92%.
Yeap. That seems same as me. I feel really sad when someone gets way more battery life than me :(

I think @DiamondarBoss should change his name to iPadProBatteryBoss now. šŸ˜œ

Well, I just totally signed out of my iPad and reinstalled everything. Hopefully, that will improve things. Of course, I backed up everything before erasing. Iā€™m holding my breath , keeping my fingers crossed and praying to the Apple Gods. šŸ˜‰

let me know if anything changes. I can do full erase no start as new iPad since I donā€™t have many apps. šŸ¤žšŸ¼

Also, to better understand battery life.

Turn on the Screen Time feature. Then, charge it up to 100%. Then use it for a day until it reaches close to 0%. Then check how many hours and minutes you got. If itā€™s 10 Hours or above, itā€™s normal. If itā€™s 9-10 hours, itā€™s normal. If itā€™s less than 9 hours and youā€™ve not been doing lots of Intensive things, you might want to be concerned.

Sorry for any Misunderstanding that I may have caused. Sorry for making you Factory Reset your iPP, @Lsmachado.

Guys, youā€™re supposed to get about 6 minutes of usage for every % of battery. 10% is One hour of Usage. 100% is 10 hours of usage. My airplane mode gets me a little bit more usage time. Itā€™s not supposed to make 1% last half an hour. šŸ˜

you said something and we worry about our battery more than ever šŸ¤£. Iā€™ll keep that in mind and see if a full day of usage can get me there. 10% = 1 hour šŸ§

Well, all I know is that after the big update, my battery went to hell on a rollercoaster, lol. I can be reading with the Kindle app and watch the percentage go down 1% every 2 or 3 minutes. Not good imo. šŸ˜³ Hopefully, reinstalling will help. Fingers crossed šŸ¤ž

Np, lol. Itā€™s probably something I should have done after 14.0.1 anyway. Any help or insight is always appreciated. Itā€™s always good to try what works for another user. You never know until you try.

I received my Magic Keyboard today and I must say that I am impressed!
Get a dbrand Skin to protect your $300 Investment. No Iā€™m not payed by dbrand. Itā€™s the other way around.

That looks pretty nice. I will check into that!

Or consider Sopiguard. I've got the black forged carbon on my MK and I love it. Never a fingerprint or smudge and easy to clean.

In this weekā€™s meeting I would like to introduce you my ā€œiPad scaleā€. As a new iPad owner like all of us in this thread we need to take care of our beauties but at the same time we have to use them because... we bought them.šŸ˜‚

I know being in the blue area is hard at least for me but we have to get there. Using iPad Without worrying to scratch the screen or drain the battery is the ultimate goal.šŸ˜¬šŸ˜Ž

thank you all for your attention. See you next weekā€˜s meeting with another incredibly designed scale or presentation. šŸ˜‚

That's hiliarous, ParaShot, I love it. I'm in the blue area and the reason why is the Magic Keyboard. If I'm doing something that's battery-intensive like games, I plug it in. The iPad is meant to be taken and used in many places, but I only use mine at home so that in itself lessens some of the worry.

Well, I hear you about saving money. When you're in forums like this though, it can feel like everyone buys and buys and buys and money is no object, but in real life it's not true. Every product mentioned here can feel very tempting to buy the latest and greatest every year. But what people don't talk about as much (and maybe they should) is stuff they didn't buy or aren't going to replace this year, etc. or compromises one makes in their life to afford newer tech. I tend to trade-in or sell my older tech to go towards the new stuff.

In my case I bought a 2018 refurb iPad Pro because I didn't want to pay the price of a new one, and used funds from selling an older laptop. I recently bought a Windows gaming laptop but I waited for it to go on sale. I'd like this stuff to last at least 4 years if not longer.

That's what I do all the time. I sold my 7+ to get 11 with the money I earned from internship. For windows laptop I need to sell my Mac to get some money. I would love to be in a position in my life where I have a good job or have enough money to preorder all the new tech that I'm interested in without disturbing my financial stability. This is my hobby so I would love to keep doing this as far as possible.

I'm so glad you shared this thoughts with me/us. Because as you said in these forums there're tons of new threads asking who is going to buy this year "x y z". A lot of buying but no further details about how you finance it. Hanging out in these threads sometimes makes me feel I want more but I'd never push my limits too far.

Actually that's why I drew that "iPad Scale" today. I bought that thing and paid so much but worry too much to use it which I shouldn't. I need to enjoy every part of what I have. Because to be honest, nowadays not all the new tech is worth to change from what we already use. It's just a tempting feeling to buy the newest. I hope to have control on my feelings all the time lol! šŸ˜‚

Yep. Same here. When my old iPad Pro started to show Signs of becoming ā€œOldā€ earlier this year, I started saving money. This was before the new iPad Pro came out in February. When the new iPad Pro came out, I had enough money saved up to buy it with trading in my Old iPad. I then decided that I would wait a while. Fast forward to Early June, I decided that I didnā€™t want to Trade In my old iPad Pro and started saving up again. By July I had enough to buy the Device I wanted directly from Apple. And then, I placed my order July 6. Then, on July 8 I joined this thread.

And when I Finally got it on August 7, I was so happy. I still am. I wanted to protect this and make it last over 3-4 years, maybe even 5 if itā€™s still in Good Condition that many Years later. For the first time on any Apple Product, I got AppleCare+. For the First Time Ever, I got a dbrand skin. I want this thing to last as long as possible. Weā€™ll ignore the fact that I dented it, thatā€™s another story.

I can definitely relate. A lot of us have to scrimp and scrape to be able to afford our devices, and we know that we want the best quality that we can afford. And a lot of us (like me) donā€™t have a significant other to help with the cost, so it takes considerable planning. We want to protect our devices so that they will last as long as possible. But sometimes, it kind of reminds me of going to my grandparents house and seeing the living room sofa all sealed in plastic, lol. Thatā€™s how I protect my iPhone and iPad. I gotta do what I gotta do!

Haha yesss! My grandparents still has cotton or some kind of cover on their sofas. They want to keep it in perfect condition. I asked many times when I was younger But what is the point of that? Now Iā€™m covering my iphone and iPad more than they cover their sofašŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚. Saving money makes me appreciate more about my new tech. Because I changed how I spend money to get this thing. So, for me it has more value than itā€™s normal worth. šŸ¤©šŸ˜¬

Sshhh dont mention the dent. If we dont speak about it, itā€™ll disappear magically. šŸ‘€šŸ˜‚
